The movie was really cool. I love all of the little twists and turns that they had through out it. The end with the witches was a little weird and the thing with the organs was very discusting, but other than that it was really clever. Part of me want to read the book and see how the author crafted it in writen word, if that makes sense. Has anyone read it? Would you recomend reading it? The movie was great and the thing with his mom was really cool at the end with the cart lady. And I love the old guy who guarded the way through the different worlds!

I really liked that movie, it was cute!
Well, the actors were good but I really didn't like the lead guy until after his makeover by the pirate...XDD He looked a lot better when he got the haircut and stuff.

- I agree! But it wasn't really a hairCUT it was like, hair extensions or whatever. I think they filmed his longer hair scenes first and then cut it off, then filmed those scenes. But with short hair he looks so DORKY!

I loved the movie to death. It is one of my all-time favorites. My favorite character was Captain Shakespeare.
@ vmars - The book is very much like the movie. You know how the books are slaughtered by the movies? Well, the movie was very much word for word and everything was well done.

Somewhat.... The film was a pretty good adaptation of the book, and it was pretty much word for word, the parts they had included. I disliked how much they left out, like the little gnome or whatever entering Faerie, how he crossed the wall, his time searching for the star, his red and yellow tunic (oh, so tight!) and the ending... The ending was MUCH better in the book, the film one was too fairytale-like...
I like the film, but the book is better, especially with the illustrations by Charles Vess. It was a joy to read ^^

I LOVED the movie! It was really good. I loved the plot and the actors in it. Even in the theatre I could point out mistakes like 'Wait, if he puts the chain around the tree how does he plan on getting it off the tree?'
And I have a question, are Humphrey and Captain Shakespeare related? Because at the wedding scene they kind of wave to each other

I just watched this movie last night with my mom. >w< We really wanted to see it in theaters but usually we don't have the time or money to go see movies. ><; But I really liked it and Robert D'Niro's character was amazing! It was very different from the roles he's played before so it was fun to see him act that way. ^ ^ I also liked the fact that this movie is so different from many others and was interestingly strange. I really like movies/shows that are original in many ways and imaginative. This was a very good movie, odd, but good.

I thought this movie was surprisingly decent. It felt kind of like a throw back to all those old fantasies like legend and labyrinth what with its love and cheese. Any way it was amusing to say the least though I had hoped for just a hair more action in it as the "final confrontation" didn't quite quench my thirst for violence but ya, all in all it was pretty good.

I got to see this movie on my bday at like 12 at night. I loved it! I thought De Niro was hilarious. Michelle was wicked indeed and Clair danes showed how much of a woman she's become. It was great 9/10 though. The storyline needed a bit more work. All in all: wonderful! :D

Just recently watched this movie. I instantly fell in love with it! I love the storyline and everything! There was not a single thing in this movie that I did not like! I love how they put all the fairytale things into a movie. I really loved the witches but the pirates were definitely my favorite! I loved Captain Shakespeare! He was so funny!

to my surprise, i really enjoyed this film.
i've never really cared for claire danes, but i found
myself enjoying her character.
the fantasy genre is something i've always been interested in, be it book or films. though there are select few, that i could care less for, this one had been looking to be one of those. but i actually liked watching this one.

The movie was indeed cute. My boyfriend and I watched it in theaters when it came out. The king's treachery cracked me up, as well as most of the ghost's dialog.
Tristan got on my nerves quite a lot at the beginning, but finally straightened out in the end.
The lead witch lady made me laugh with her vanity issues later on. :D

Stardust was just an amazing movie! ^^
I utterly loved every aspect of it. It made me laugh and cry.. ^^
Claire Danes was just amazing! Not to mention that Charlie Cox was just a hottie. ^^
At first he was nerdy looking and cute. XD But then the second half of the film he was just a hottie. ^^
This really was a relief from the Harry Potter films and the children films with magic and such. Im not saying a hate Harry Potter, cause I love all the book and movies..but it just a relief and a change of scenery. ^-^
Its one of my favorite movies...I really recommend it to everyone!! ^^
