Gossip Girl
So.. Gossip Girl is a totally new show on the CW that just premiered a few weeks ago, and I happen to be a really big fan of the show. It started off kind of slow, but I think as it's progressed it's gotten really good. It's based off of the Gossip Girl series by Cecily von Ziegesar, which I have yet to look in to, but I will haha. But back on topic.
I was actually surprised to see that there wasn't already a thread for Gossip Girls yet. So, without further adieu, here are some questions for you to answer!~ Do you like the show so far? Who is your favorite character? What do you think of the constant.. struggle between Blaire and Serena? What about the party boys? Also, feel free to discuss general aspects of the show. This show is based on a book, I do believe. -nod- I haven't watched it or anything, but my friend loves the book, and like all books converted into a show or tv series, it's a lot different. =3 |
Yeah well, nothing on Television is original anymore haha. At least, almost nothing. There are some original things out there still ^^.

I never read the books, because they looked silly and annoying (I'm really not into socialite gossip--it seems so petty).
I watched the pilot (free off iTunes) and sort of enjoyed it though. It was decently acted, which made it easier to get into, and I like the actress who plays...hmm, I can't remember her name, the character who just got back in town from boarding school. I'm tempted to watch the show, but I don't have television, don't really want to track it down online, especially because I have so many other hobbies I want to do instead. I dunno though, I might rent it off Netflix when it comes out on DVD and just binge on it that way. |
I enjoy this show however on that same note I want my One Tree Hill back

I've wanted to watch this show, but I always keep forgetting about it. I've heard people mention it a few times though, so I'd like to check it out.
I've never read any of the books. I'm not sure that I would like the show if I read the books, or vice versa... that's usually the way it goes with me. |

It seems like a pretty good show, sadly I missed the third episode Dx and the one on last night... Im not good at remember when shows are on xD Unless there my anime shows <3
But its seems pretty good I want to read the books but there are a lot of them... It seems like a little bit to much drama though |
I don't like One Tree Hill. It bores me xD
I like how much drama Blaire and Serena go through in a single episode. They're friends, then they hate each other, then they make up, and then they're off doing fun things in places. Makes you wish you could be a rich upper east sider like them so you could go to their parties haha. |

I love gossip girl i read all the books a wile befor the show started and i was so excited, but the show is ALOT diffrent from the books but the same basic information is in both the book and the show. You should defently read the books tho they are so good I am cusrretnyly reaing the gossip girl prequel it it explaings alot about the series. My favorite charatter is Blair, and then Serena, its really hard to pick between them!

I like the show. I am actually watching old episodes of it right now. I love how the story lines and the relationships between the characters changes throughout the different shows. It is hard to pick between the different characters. The only one I think that I dislike right now would probably be Nate.
How different are the books? I do not think I would like it in book format. I think it would be easier to watch people be catty then to read about it. Are the books catty? |
I like Nate or whoever the rich guy is... I'm not sure. Anyways I like the show so far but I've only seen about two or three episodes.

Nate is the rich guy that seems to have everything together. He has brown hair.
Chuck is the rich guy who is kind of a jerk and is good at spying on people. He has black hair. Chuck and Nate are best friends. I hope the hair distinctions help. |

I enjoy this show quite a bit. My favorites are Blair, Chuck, Lily and Rufus. The Lily/Rufus relationship is done really well, in my opinion. I'm starting to get annoyed with Serena, as she's beginning to remind me of Marissa from the OC.

I'll miss it desperately I know. Back to fanfic I guess. Also, I think I might just love Chuck Bass... his hair was terrible in the last episode (same as Nate... where was the stylist??) |

Gossip girl is the best.
You can even watch it on mute and be entertained by how pretty the clothes are. There's so much fashion in that show! It is unbelievable! And that is why everyone loves it. As I do :) |

Blaire is my favourite character :P She is probalby the most popular character too ^.^ lol
