I don't balme you both and the song you are recalling Lynn is What have I done.

Lynn StarDragon 01-10-2010 02:49 AM

Ah, I thought it might have been called that. . .

Mehimaru 01-10-2010 02:50 AM

Well, Jack's Lament was pretty awesome too. So yea I kinda like it also, just not as much.

sailor star rainbow 01-10-2010 02:53 AM

Jack's Lament is so sad but I do love it so. it is the name of the song got dvd and pretty good memory to prove it. :offtopic: I once mistaken a song form a anime for a other opening song for clamps Tsubasa lols.

Mehimaru 01-10-2010 02:56 AM

Tsubasa?? I love Tsubasa!!! Well, I like the manga for Tsubasa lol...almost as much as I like Nightmare.

sailor star rainbow 01-10-2010 02:57 AM

So do I but sadly it over now over in japan and the reason why I got the. 2 opening mix up was because of the piano music lols even more.

Mehimaru 01-10-2010 03:00 AM

They finished it in Japan?? That is sad. Too bad. I just started reading xxxHolic and found out that Tsubasa and it ties together. It was weird.

sailor star rainbow 01-10-2010 03:06 AM

Yup they did if you want to read it online go to onemanga.com are mangafox. I mostly been reading the update of xxxHolic still needs to read it fully.

Mehimaru 01-10-2010 03:07 AM

Yea, xxxHolic is turning out pretty good. A lot of craziness, just the way I like it!

sailor star rainbow 01-10-2010 03:09 AM

same here boy we are really going off topic in here. maybe I should get a mod to move this thing over to the anime forum section of the site uh?

Mehimaru 01-10-2010 03:11 AM

Yea, might work. I tend to chase rabbits when I talk, sorry about that lol.

Ahh man, brb got an issue real quick.

Backs! Kids were fighting over tv.

Captain Howdy 01-11-2010 01:35 AM

I've merged your thread, sailor star rainbow, with our preexisting 'Nightmare Before Christmas' thread. :)

And remember to stay on topic, guys. ;)

Lynn StarDragon 01-11-2010 04:56 PM

Ggggrrrrr, roll-back ate my posts. T.T

Anyway, I looooooooooove this movie so much!

The song that gets me the most each time--or maybe it was just the first one that really hit me--was 'What Have I Done'. But at this point I just love all of them so much. I'm a huge dork, and why I play Kingdom Hearts, I just spend extra time in Halloween Town to listen to the music. XD

As for favorite characters. . . . Jack and Sally and Zero. . . I think . . . . because Oogie Boogie sure was an awesome villain.

::Edit:: O.O Okay. . . . my posts didn't get eaten, we just got moved. XD

Ah, my cousin has/had it on DVD. . . . Now I just need to get it. And seeing it in 3-D would be so awesome. >3

Absolutly great movie. I am very interested now in Stop-Motion animation because of that movie. The music fits it perfectly, Danny Elfman is a great composer and i hope he does more film with Tim in the future.

Raven Of The Woods 02-10-2010 04:50 AM

Mmmmm... yes... I love this movie Jack was my first crush... and I loved Sally to... I always wanted to be like her...

`Fallen 02-10-2010 06:14 AM

I have watched Nightmare since I was a young kid because it was a tape and my parents needed a way to entertain me. I would watch it over and over and over all day and as I grew older the movie stuck with me. The concept in itself is amazing and the clay-mation was amazing. My favorite Character in the whole movie is Zero but I mostly relate to Sally and how she feels about Jack.

The music and the character design is and always will be the best in my opinion. Nothing can compete. Although I also like Coraline and The Corpse Bride, I can not honestly say that they will forever hold a place in my childhood memories the way Nightmare did. One of the most interesting things about this movie is how it came about. The Nightmare Before Christmas was originally a poem by Tim Burton.

Louis duLac 02-10-2010 08:16 PM

The movie was a great kids movie, but it was ruined by the overbearing merchandise line and the tweens who buy the stuff up like a drug.

AgnesGloom 02-10-2010 08:30 PM

I've loved it since I was a kid. I even remember the day I got the VHS. I haven't been able to watch it in a long time though because the dvd I bought was warpped. I listen to the soundtrack all the time.

Khepresh 02-11-2010 05:40 AM

I love that movie ^.^ sally is my favorite character.

pumpkins 02-12-2010 06:14 PM

I like what Burton did with Big Fish, but seriously guys what do you see in that stop motion cartoon? Corpse Bride was also just waste of time. So boring. I thought they are for kids but teens seem to love them.
I do like Marilyn Manson's and KoRn's versions of the soundtrack, the originals are just repeating one scentence. this is halloween this is halloween this is halloween AAAAAAAA i can't stand it!!

ButterflyDemise 03-09-2010 04:19 AM

I've loved this movie longer than I can remember! I must have seen it 100 times by now and it's still not boring, haha. The music helps I'm sure. Jack is just pure love~ along with Sally and the 3 Trick-or-Treaters.

Also love the remake soundtracks they made! Very interesting versions of my favorites ^^

Poppet 04-15-2010 03:29 PM

I love that movie (: My favorite character is Sally. She's so sweet and soft hearted. Her and Jack's love is so real, to (:

D.J. Dead 08-23-2010 03:17 AM

I love the movie and my favorite character is Sally. I like the part when she jumps out of the window and sews her self back together. I also like the scean when Jack pulls a rib out to throw for the dog.

I've always thought that Sally's stiches were a symbolism of how Tim Burton himself has to keep "sewing" hiself back up. I Absolutly love Tim Burton! And I always have! :D

Aww <3 I live that movie so much. It's so cute! I watch it every Halloween and every Christmas.
