They played that cult classic movie up where I live for the second time ever and it was a sold out show. There managed to be a few people who tried to act it out under the screen. It's always so funny!

such an interesting movie :], i've heard from a friend there are various music artists in the movie that were popular during the time when the movie was filmed. The movie makes me want to wear zany outfits and glitter. Favorite scene is when they're in the pool and the time warp portion.

Ok thank you, I did look for one but I couldn't see one in the first few pages I looked through so thought that it would be ok to make a new one. Sorry for the inconveinience :)

I would have to say that it is absolutely fantastic. I'm suprised that so many people have seen it considering how far back it was made. Most younger audiences don't have as much respect for this kind of movie. Frank is my favorite, and if anyone gets the chance, they should go to a showing/convention.

Ugh! It's been so long since I've seen Rocky Horror Picture Show! But if I remember corectly, watching RHPS was like having sex without actually having sex! Ok that might be a little extreme. :P But it was such a fun movie!

My favorite parts of RHPS would have to be when you first meet Dr. Frankenferter as well as every single song and dance scene. It's all so much fun.

It's always best to watch with a mixed crowd. And by that I mean people who have seen it and people who have never heard of it and have no idea what it is. That way, when the interjections come about and everyone who has seen it interjects, you get to see how weirded out the people who haven't seen it get.

For example:
Dr. Frankenferter: ... antici---
Audience: Say it! Say it!!!
Dr. Frankenferter: ---pation!
Audience: Aaaah!

Or there's the part where Dr. Frankenferter proposes a toast and then everyone in the audience throws pieces of toast into the air. And there's also the wedding scene where the audience throws rice at the TV screen.

These interjections are traditional for this particular movie. My dad was one of the original RHPS fans. And he was quite the fan... I learned all about the RHPS tradition from him. The movie was originally shown in a theater and the turnout was always quite... interesting. People would dress in really weird outfits the way the tranny aliens did and they always brought big bags full of rice, toast, water guns and a bunch of other stuff to throw or shoot off during the interjections. This traditional type showing is actually still done to this day. I've never been to one, but I would love to go!

So yea. Talk about a weird movie. But like I said. It's sooo much fu
n.

I watched that movie with my friends on Halloween! It was hilarious. My friend couldn't stop doing the Time Warp for, like, a month. I lied, a few weeks.

So now, we just randomly sing it. I'd laugh if we ever did that in the middle of class XD

I can never figure out how to explain to people who have never been to a RHPS showing what goes on during the movie. It's hysterical... the rice, the newspaper over the head, the toast... the DANCING... so much fun! I used to go to midnight showings with live actors in front of the screen, too, and quite a bit of the audience would also be in costume. Do they really still do all that?

wikkid_kittin 02-05-2010 03:03 AM

RHPS... the do a live/show viewing in Norfolk, VA at the Naro. I love it because the audience can interact and i know alot of the cast. At one point they were trying to get me to try out for Columbia, all because i had short pink hair, lol. My favorite scene is Columbia & Eddie. Also when Dr. Frank-N-Futer pulls the table cloth off the table at the dinner scene. My favorite character is totally magenta she rocked my sox!! =^.^=

Liztress 02-05-2010 04:15 PM

Love the movie and every character in it. First got into RHPS when a good friend told me about it in 8th grade.

Raven Of The Woods 02-10-2010 04:43 AM

I have watched that movie ever since I was little and it's one of my favorite old school movies.... I loved Meatloaf who played Eddy... I know he only had a little part but he was awesome...

Red Cross Robbery 02-10-2010 06:58 PM

Ugh... I hated Rocky Horror...

That was what all the trash kids at my school did when they got bored.

I also hated the movie...

In all fairness, I think seeing it in person and interacting with it would hold some charm, but just nto a fan personally :p

I like Rocky Horror Picture Show I was shown it at about like at 15 and just enjoyed it, It was just so strange and very out there but I just love that.

Even though I like it alot I would never go to the theatres that let you dress up and sing and dance during the movie, that is just something else, I'm like I don't love it that much to do that but i do know people that have done that and said they had a blast doing it.

TheNewCSLewis 02-12-2010 09:36 PM

That movie confused me but did like a lot of the music in it...but I am only strong enough to see it once in my life...maybe someday I'll watch it when I have teenagers but that wont be for a very long time.

AkihitoKage 02-13-2010 01:06 AM

Oh man, seeing it live is nothing compared to seeing the movie XD It was performed in my city a couple of years ago and it was just awesome when everyone got up and did the Time Warp.

I'm also highly amused that me and my friends were possibly the youngest ones there, but we were one of the few who weren't dressed up.

Yori-senpai 02-13-2010 09:35 PM

I love RHPS ever since I saw it when I was little. I found out that they announce when they are going to make a show of it, something as a little hobby I guess since its so big and that people dress up like them to play the parts and they put on a show in local towns. xD It helps with a obsession of dressing like them. Hehehe. I love Eddy also, but it was sad that he had such a small part. But it was awesome.

I got the pleasure of being on the Universal Studios Park building team for the halloween season this last year. We did a tribute show to RHPS and I got to build some of the pieces including Columbia's shorts and corset, and the space suits. :) For a shortened performance, they did great. We had some totally awesome performers. Its only a shame that it wasn't as participant-oriented as other shows. I mean, the "audience" isn't a standard RHPS audience.

Sasha1985 03-01-2010 11:21 PM

It's a classic I love its so wierd but its great! very funny! My x-bf knew all the songs by heart lol he really liked that movie when I watched it with him he keep breaking out in song with them lol it was soooo funny!!

JessieLynn 03-02-2010 05:15 AM

Everytime I watch that movie, I think of how Tim Curry goes from Drag to the villain in a kid's movie...
Ferngully was awesommmmeeee

Maggerz 03-05-2010 06:30 PM

My brother and I worship that movie. Whenever we go see it, I always dress up as Magenta and either goes as Rocky or Columbia, depending on what kind of mood he's in. We were sitting in PE one day and we got onto the topic of the Time Warp dance. I got to teach half the class how to do it. Definitely made my day.

Tokai_Hara 03-07-2010 02:20 AM

This movie is one that everyone should see at least once in their life. Meatloaf for Eddie was just too perfect. I wonder how odd it was for Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick to work together since they broke up about halfway through filming.

dieyousucker 03-07-2010 02:21 AM

one word. WEIRD

mau5ie 03-07-2010 07:28 PM

i've seen it before.. but that was when i was fifteen. i think i need to watch it again, as that was eleven years ago.
my fave character is dr. frank-n-furter!!! just something about tim curry in womens clothing. yummy! ^^

Maggerz 03-08-2010 04:23 PM

I remember when a Mormon friend of mine watched it with a group of us. Afterwards, he said (all jokingly,) "I want to say that was awesome, but it might be a sin in and of itself." We lol'd.

Scarebear 03-11-2010 12:38 AM

I love this movie! =)
Columbia is awesome!

Been a fan for a long time really. I try to see live showing where they act out the movie while it plays in the theater. SO MUCH FUN!

AnimeMoonKitty 03-11-2010 01:02 AM
