I finally got to see the movie back in August or September. My friend had been bugging me for almost a year to sit and watch it.. I gave in. I have to say it was enjoyable, but after the first 30-45minutes it just gets too slow for me to just sit there and watch.
I really loved the songs for “Time Warp” and “Sweet Transvestite”! haha, I even downloaded them to listen to outside of the movie. |
I'm a Columbia fan all the way! I have mad love for the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and even got to be part of a shadowcast for the better part of a year!

It was a pretty weird film but I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I think everyone kind of hates Janet, but it's cool because she turns out to be a total slut.
I saw it at a Halloween midnight showing, at my university's movie theater. Now, I really, really hate musicals. I had a few theater major friends and some English majors who were all about RENT, the music of which drives me crazy. But Rocky Horror is weird in a completely unique and awesome way. I didn't really have a favorite scene, but the one that always sticks out the most in my mind is when Janet is getting with Rocky, singing "Touch Me." I particularly liked when they showed Magenta and Columbia watching them go at it. Without actually going and doing the audience participation thing, you don't really get the full flavor of the show. A friend had shown me clips on YouTube from the show, and I thought they were kind of cool but didn't get into it. When you're in the theater and that atmosphere, though, you almost can't help it. |
watched it AGAIN today, i've now seen it at least 1000times(no joke). i could sit here and type the entire script word for word xD god bless richard o'brian

Rocky Horror Picture Show and ME
So the first time I ever saw it was on tv when I was in middle school and i could not sleep. I called my mom and told her the oddest shows are on in the middle of the night lol. But I fell in love. I love Rocky Horror Picture Show so much that just after I got out of high school I found a place to do plays. It ended up being the last play the place I was going would put on. But we did the Rocky Horror Picture Show PLAY! We ended up getting such good reviews we ended up getting invited to attened a movie showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show for the gay, bi, and lesbian community. It was great we did some acting right in front of the screen and even got to throw stuff in to the crowd of people. It was one of the best things that has ever happened in my life.
So in the end I wanted to say I LOVE THE Rocky Horror Picture Show! |
it's an addictive movie but toucha toucha touch me is my fave song hands down and then its sweet transvestite!! one of the best musicals of all times

I love Rocky Horror Picture Show. The first time I ever saw it was at a friend's house. She showed me a clip and Youtube, and I thought it was cool but a bit freaky. Then we sat and watched the whole movie. It was awesome ^.^ My absolute favorite is Time Warp. I love it. I know it word for word, and the whole dance too. Me and that same friend, after about the hundredth time watching it, actually videotaped ourselves dancing and singing to Time Warp. However, at the end when we were supposed to fall down, I fell and then sat about and went 'Wait, am I supposed to be dead?' as she was going to stop the camera. ROFL.
Anyways, I also love Sweet Transvestite, the song about Eddie (played by Meatloaf), and the one where Dr. Frank-n-furter is chasing Janet and singing 'you better wise up Janet _____' (I can't remember her last name right now). My favorite character would probably be Dr. Frank-n-furter. I don't know if I have a favorite part. It probably would be the scene where Dr. Frank-n-furter catches Rocky and Janet, and then from there until the end of the scene where he Medusas them ^.^ LOL. Either that or where he sleeps with Janet and Brad one after another. |
One of my all time favorite movies ever. The first time i watched it all I could think throughout the whole entire movie was, "WTF"? And I'm used to watching some pretty crazy stuff. The second time was much better since I knew what was coming.
I just enjoyed it and went with the flow. The "Sweet Transvestite" song is my favorite part in the whole movie. Magenta and Riff Raff are my favorite characters, along with Dr. Frank 'n Furter of course. |

I freakin' love The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I saw if for the first time last year (about June time) and loved it, then in November I went and saw a live show which was also amazing, the atmosphere and costumes are fantastic ( I was Magenta :lol:)
My favourite scene would have to be "Time Warp" I love the song and seeing the dance was just the best. Though "Sweet Transvestite" made me laugh too. I will have to agree with the Dr Frank.N.Furter scene. Pure genius. My favourite character is a close tie with Tim Curry (Frank.N.Furter) and Richard O'Brian (Riff Raff) because I thought they were both brilliant. And yes, I have seen the film. |
Every year my school puts on its own production of Rocky Horror. Even the audience dresses up for it!

Rocky Horror is definitely my favorite comedy movie. I'm hoping that one year I'll have enough friends in my area who like it that I can organize for us all to dress as characters from it for Halloween. I've already got huge curly red hair, so I demand to be Magenta. :lol:

I saw this for the first time a few weeks ago. I had always wanted to check it out but no one I knew had the movie. Anyway, I ADORED it like I suspected I would. My friend and I did nothing but talk about how Tim Curry was weirdly hot despite the fact that cross dressing is a turn-off for both of us :lol: We'd so hit that :ninja:
Actually, the way I heard about the movie in the first place was on a cruise my senior year of high school when a friend of mine requested that the Time Warp be played and started doing the dance. I still suck at it to this day but it was fun! |
I've decided when I get married, I will force everyone to get up and do the Timewarp. It's the perfect wedding dance XD

I've been to a couple of midnight showings, and I was in the cast as Magenta when my college had it's first midnight showing of it.
If you've never gone to one, I highly recommend it! Dress up! Learn the lines to call out, and get a prop bag! It's so much fun. Just be prepared to do something embarassing/obscene when it's discovered that you're a virgin. (The term used for people who are at a midnight showing for the first time) |
One of my all-time favourites, both movie-wise and within the musical-genre. I think its so delightfully kitsch and the music is very powerful, it makes you want to move.
Fun fact: at the roleplay-Yuleball I went to last Christmas, our Mrs Weasley taught everyone how to do the Time Warp, and I came in halfway and went totally out of character and actually danced, because it was the Time Warp, ffs! :3 |

In no particular order: The scene where you see the Timewarp dance is one of my favourite scenes because it is so legendary. Everyone knows the song so the scene gets a place in my heart forever. My second top scene is the Sweet Transvestite scene because that is where we are first introduced to Frank.N.Furter and I feel that some of the best lines in the film were said during that song, such as: 'Transexual Transelvania' and of course the legendary 'I see you shiver with antici....pation' which is just amazing. My third favourite scene is probably when they unveil Rocky and just expose those awesome golden man pants. As Rocky is the center character (despite what people seem to think) I feel that when he is brought into the film is a very big scene, and also pretty amazing. Other scenes I like are when Frank.N.Furter shows off his ability as a hell of a lover by getting in bed with both Brad and Janet. Also when you see Von Scott come in is pretty awesome. But also one that has sadly not made the favourites but still awesome is when we see Eddie. I am a big Meatloaf fan so for him to put in an appearance was a big moment :) Quote:

What do people think of the rocky horror picture show from the movie and on Broadway?
Think the music is really good they got good actors on the movie like meatloaf plays Eddie he is a good singer and I like his singing he is really good as well. Tim curry he is a good actor and he sings great as well and I didn't know he could sing as well he is really good singing as well. What you guys think of it as well. |
I saw that movie when I was like fourteen...it kinda freaked me out...but yeah I love the music I actually have a couple songs on my ipod :D
