Ok, so I recently bought the home alone box set and I have to say, as a set it makes no sense!

Film 1 is about an 8 year old boy

Quote:
Lady, I'm eight years old! Do youthink I'd be here by myself. Mymoms in the car
Who get's left behind in the mad rush. He is 1 of six siblings. As proof by his mom telling her brood to get in one mini van and his cousins the other.

Film 2, Kevin isn't actually Home Alone, but boards the wrong flight and is 10 years old.

Quote:
Lady, I'm 10 years old! My dad's in a meeting...

The Third film is about another boy completly.

The fourth film is about a nine year old Kevin, who only has 1 brother and 1 sister, both bearing the names of two from the first two films, is a different actor and the parents are the same as the origional Kevins.

So some spoons for you.
What is going on with Kevins age? Speculate? Same character? Different character?
What you like about the films?
What you hate?
Favourite film?

I haven't got a clue what's going on with Kevins Age.
I like the third film best. That kid is too cute for words!
I like the humour and family goodness about the films. They make me happy!

I bought them all and I was sure I'd seen them all but I only recognised 1. And of course I watched all four back to back so I was like  :? WTF is going on with that boys age!?

Stupid Angel should stop having movie marathons :P

The third one was my favorite too! Both boys are really cute. I do not think that I have ever seen the fourth one. Maybe I have. They all kind of blur together in my mind, except for the third one since it is so different. I love how 'Kevin' uses tapes to scare people away from the house. Those movies are funny. I can understand how they would not make sense all together. They are probably better if watched separately throughout a space of time, but I think you know that by now. Just do not give up on those movies completely.

I really like the first and second ones, since McCully Culkin is the original boy in the movies. The other two, three and four, are wierd without him in it.

Those were good movies.
The only one I didn't like so much was the NY one.
I can't remember what number it was.

We played the music from the movies in band. It was possibly the hardest music I have EVER played.

I had always assumed it was supposed to be a different character after the first two movies. I guess it happened like that since the title actor no long was payed to be in the movie. I don't know.

I did like the first two home alone movies. The last two were not my favorites, but nice in their own ways.

Enjoy your dvd's. Entertainment is wonderful.

Oh, and it's the season for those films. xD

I absolutely love 1 & 2, I have to see them every Christmas to get into the spirit :D The third one I've only seen once, don't really remember much, and I've never seen the fourth. Didn't even know there was a 4th one

I'd can only watch the first two, other then that I feel like it's just a complete waste. I really hate when sequels come out with a different actor as the main character. It just bugs me for the whole movie and it's just awkward.

I don't really like Home Alone movies..
I don't know.. I just don't like those kind of commedies.. Wherein what's funny are the people tripping, and falling and stumbling..
I just don't find those things that funny.
But I don't really hate the movies..
They're tolerable, I guess..
I could stand watching them.
They're just okay.

I just watched the second movie yesterday. Out of the ones I've seen (the first three), it is definately my favorite. I think the first two are the only ones worth watching, after that they just get beyond stupid.

I had almost forgotten Tim Curry was in the second one. I mean how can you go wrong with Tim Curry? : 3

I loved the first and second movies. I have always loved them.

I did not watch the third for a long time because I was wary about. Once I watched it all the way through though, I really enjoyed it.

Now, the fourth one? I did not even know there was a fourth and there is no way I will ever watch it, too many sequels is a bad thing.

I've seen only the first two parts. I must agree that I really liked them. A nice family comedy. I think I liked the first part more than the second, though.
Actually, didin't know about the last one. I mean, that it existed xD

I didn't know there was fourth one either. Obviously it wasn't well received and thus went unnoticed by most. xD

I always liked these movies especially the part when it gets good and the bad guys get into all the traps. That part always cracks me up.

I like the first and second film, not the other ones. I think that the other kid isn't that funny as the first one. I like in the first or second film when he shaves his beard (He has none) and and after that he uses the aftershave and starts screaming. XD

I agree with the post above me, the old Kevin is really really funny.
I only liked 1 & 2.

I was able to watch the fourth one you described, and it confused me as well! Same parents, same name 'Kevin', but a different child actor. I'm not entirely sure if they named it Home Alone 4, but I guess it could have worked if they used a different title for it, and obviously different characters/actors altogether.

My dad loves them too he would watch it over an over. He always got on my nerves with those movies. But I gotten to like them I think I watched them so much. I always liked the first one best I just think it was so much cutier then the rest. The second one was really good to though I though it was sweet how he made friends with the pigeon lady.

But it was much better then all the westerns my dad liked I hated those things I hear those guns going off in my sleep. I think I could watch anything more then I could watch the westerns.

I actually used to love that movie. I would sit and watch it and then rewind it ( back in the old ages of VHS )and watch it again. I don't know what it is but I was totally obsessed with the movie. I think it was all the planning and cool things he did to set up the house and protect it. I am such a planner that I think that really appealed to me. And honestly, when you are 10 years old, who doesn't want to take over the house and do whatever you want? XD The 2nd film was pretty good too, but once they got to 3 & 4 I found it a loss cause because they changed the main actor and really, how many sequels can you do with the same storyline? Boy is alone, burglar break into house, boy protects house in a slapstick comedy way. Its amazing that they actually made a 4th one, I was surprised they even made a 3rd! I could probably still watch the 1st and 2nd one today because it would bring back childhood memories for me. =)
