Alvin and the Chipmunks
I want to see this movie so badly! They look so cute! I loved watching the chipmunk cartoon movies when they came out or were on tv. I think their voices are cute as well. My sisters and I would always pretend to be them, with me being Simon because I was the oldest and had glasses, Brooke being Alvin because she was the middle child, and Kara being Theodore because she was the youngest and the fattest. I also like the chipesses (the females). Anyone else seen it or want to see it? Who is your favorite character?

Meh... I've never really liked them. I just found their voices really annoying I guess... >.<

@iClimax - Ah, I do not remember my favorite movie. I have been craving to watch that one chipmunk movie with the chipesses and they travel around the world (can not remember the name of the movie though).
@zigbigadorlube - I think their voices help add to their cuteness. Also with them being little talking rodents adds cuteness. ^_^ @Takuto - Oh, was it like Garfield. That will be disappointing. I did not like the Garfield movie. I do not really like Garfield himself that much because of the fact that he is a big lazy cat. Oh well, I hope the Chipmunk movie is not too much like it. |
I just got back from seeing this and I'm dieing to see it again! My favorite character is Simon bacuse my favorite actor plays his voice! I personally thought this was the best movie I've seen in the threatre all year!

I'm a little weary of going to see that due to what it looks like, I'm reminding on how they did the Garfield movies. Though I recall myself watching the cartoon series, I found myself relating to Simon, being the brainy one.

My boyfriend and I saw signs for that movie in the mall. The weird thing was that the chipmunks looked really menacing on the sign, especially Alvin. It was kind of creepy. I haven't seen the movie though. If it's like the Garfield movie, I don't want to. I love Garfield, but that movie was terrible.

I was not very hopeful about it when I first heard that it was coming out, but now that I have seen the previews it actually seems good. I was very happy that their voices fit the old version. I love this preview in particular:
Simon: "We're talking chipmunks Dave, we can get out of a cat carrier." I love it because he says it with a 'no duh' attitude. Like of course talking chipmunks can get out of a cat carrier. What were you thinking? If the movie is filled with that many funny lines, the movie will be great. |

I've heard that the critics called this movie awful.
I was never a fan of the chipmunks. Of all the cartoons in the world this has one of my least favorite- course I haven't seen all the cartoons in the world. I might see this movie eventually when it comes out, just for kicks. |

I've seen many episodes of the old show. There are old tapes lying around the house, and I've had the chance to watch them. I love the show. The characters are so cute with their voices, antics, and just the fact they are chipmunks. I mean Chip and Dale are cute, but Alvin, Simon and Theodore take the prize for best chipmunk trio. I'm sure the movie is all fun, and light at heart. But the cartoon, and first animation movie will always hold a special place in my heart. Well at least I think it's the first movie. It has a cast of female counterparts to the male ones called "The Chipettes". Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor are also cute. But of course throughout the movie can't best the original act. They come close, but will never pull it off. At least that's my opinion. I will not spoil it, but it's a great movie. If anyone has a chance to watch it, and likes cute, I recommend it. |
I have always loved Simon's attitude in the cartoons.

I really want to see this movie as well. I think the Chipmunchs look so cute! I love the sound of their voice and their Christmas song. I remember watching the Chipmunk cartoons, they were great!

I seen this movie online this week. It a great movie. The video wasn't all that good but you can still see it and laugh at the funny part. They all look soooo cute. ^_^

THIS MOVIE IS SO CUTE! I'm not even ashamed to say that I loved it, even though I'm 17 years old. I loved the beginning - they were singing "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter (I think?)..SO CUTE. I loved Theodore..and Simon..heck, I loved 'em all.
The only thing I found wrong with it was that the guy said the stuffed animals were speaking Spanish..WRONG. They were speaking japanese. At least, that's what I'm pretty sure they were speaking..I'm almost 100% sure that "watashi wa Alvin desu" is japanese (don't quote me on the quote there - that's me going from memory..) |
