because apparently nobody loves the Book of Secrets.
I am aiming to see "national treasure: book of secrets" for the second time this weekend.
the movie is blisteringly uninspired and full of boring expository dialogue, not to mention the fact that it's very difficult to feel any sort of sympathy for the "good guys" while they're tearing ass around london, without any regard for their fellow human's presence, let alone status and goodwill. i found myself at the movies, at 11 am on christmas day, with my father. we purchased two tickets to book of secrets inside the cannery casino's galaxy theatre. they gave us the small screen. so, does anyone else share an appreciation for things that are lackluster and forced at the same time? things that are full of implausible happenings? things that really should make even more at the box office, because WHO CAN RESIST NICOLAS CAGE? i've yet to find anybody around me who can dig it like my boyfriend/my mother/me, but i'm on a quest. i thirst. |
don't worry, dear, we'll make a cult.
we'll make nicolas cage hairy chest t-shirts and wear john travolta masks. this might have become a nicolas cage post, but he IS the star. he takes up half the poster by himself, wtf. |
Loved it. Flat out. Movies like this really take to my TOTAL LOVE AND WORSHIP because they let me attempt to plot out the "mystery" before hand, and as it goes along. Extremely entertaining film for me. And the guy that plays Riley is so cute. x.x *Drool* *Death from loss of body fluids* *shrivel* |

I adored Riley as well.
my father said he and helen mirren made the movie worth watching--i thoroughly agree~ also the fact that it was...ridiculous! implausible!!! |
I haven't seen Book of Secrets yet but I loved the first one dearly. And I enjoy a good History Mystery.
Why doesn't anyone like Nicholas Cage?? |
I agree. It was a good movie, but it could have been better.
Those poor pedestrians. Spoiler alert in white text! I felt worse for the bad guy at the end than anyone else. Did they even seem phased that he saved their butts? No. They're like, "Oh yeah, that other guy drowned back there. No biggie. We should give him credit too though." |
I haven't seen it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I love Cage. I think I've seen almost every movie he's done. I think it'll be worth watching.

I absolutely loved the movie after I saw it last night. It wasn't nearly as good as the first one, but it was still amazing.
*Spoilers in white. Don't read if you haven't seen the movie.* The City of Gold was breathtaking, and you couldn't help but get caught up in the action with the flooding. Does anyone else think that there's going to be a 3rd movie, after the whole "page 47" thing? I wonder what it'd be about... Obviously it's about some other puzzle thing within the country, but I wonder what the puzzle would be. |
I was upset about something the whole time I was watching it, so I kind of had a hard time paying attention. But it was ok, and I loved Riley. I kept thinking "Poor Riley's so alone and unappreciated... Just like me ;o;" the whole time. xD
Overall, not a fun movie going experience, but still a pretty good movie. I wonder if there will be a third one... |
I still haven't been able to watch the movie yet but I'm sure it was really good since I liked the first one.
