Don't see that movie!!! O.o?
Has a friend or yours or family member ever told you to not go see a movie for unknown reasons? Maybe they have a reason but it's not important enough to miss out on a movie you've been dying to see ever since it came out to theaters.
Reason behind the question is the other day my brothers went to see I Am Legend and then came back telling me I shouldn't see it...The hell I won't! I've been wanting to see the movie for so long I can't believe myself for not seeing it yet. *my bros went and saw it without me. T^T* The only reason one brother is giving is that I won't like the ending....Ok...Like that's a valid reason to not see it. ><; So I'm going to see it anyway but my question is: Has anyone tried to keep you from seeing that movie you can't wait for? If so what movie was it and what was their reason? And were they right or wrong? |
My friend told me about the ending of I Am Legend and it sounds really, really bad. You could even ask your brothers to tell you why it's so bad. It doesn't really spoil the story at all. The ending is just... :?
So yeah... don't see it. |
*to Pixore* Aw man, you serious? I've really wanted to see the movie but...well could you tell me what's so wrong with the ending because my brother won't tell me why.

I've never been told not to go see a movie unless it's too high certificate for me. I was banned from watching Power Rangers as a child though XD;
I didn't like it anyway. And as for I am Legend, you should read the book, I really enjoyed it. Haven't seen the mocie yet but I was planning to. |
*to Sakura* Yeah, my parents tried to ban my brothers and me from Power Rangers but the damage was already done. XD Oh well
I want to read the book as well because apparently the two have a big difference so it ought to be interesting to make a comparison. |
Lol, so I know this is kind of a late response, but ... here goes. I'm going to write it in white below so I don't spoil it for anyone that doesn't want to know anything. But it's not really a spoiler...
/// SPOILER ALERT /// So the movie ends with Will Smith doing pull-ups for about 10 minutes. Then he stops and starts doing push-ups for another 10 minutes. Finally, the screen goes dark and the movie ends. I might have gotten those things out of order. I didn't see it myself and I have no desire to watch it now. But that's basically it. Will Smith exercises for a really long long time and I can imagine it's really boring to watch. Then the movie just ends. /// SPOILER ALERT /// So there you go! Hope that helped you make your decision about the film. |
*to Pixore* Thank you for posting in white and...are you serious?! I was thinking it was gonna be something really bad or whatever. I'll still watch the movie but I can't see why that should stop me and my other bro said the movie was amazing and shouldn't be missed.
Apparently my one bro didn't want me to see it because of the dog's name and the significance in that and I can understand but I still would love to see it. |
never seen that movie, but yea been told not to see some without a vallid reasons.
|
*to Kazzy1231* If so then why not go see them anyway? The only reason I'd accept being told not to see a movie is if the person who said not to knew I would be scarred for life if I saw the movie.

I've been wanting to see Cloverfield since the whole viral campaign started. I had such high hopes for a modern monster movie.
My friend told me that it was dumb though. So I went to The Movie Spoiler and read it. After reading what all happens, I don't really have any intention of seeing it. It's just too depressing for me. I guess I was expecting something a little more like the monster movies of yore, except more modern, obviously. But that movie is basically... Well, I'll make it white since it's spoilery. Going to see that movie is basically just going to find out how each person dies. Everyone dies at the end, and while that's realistic for if a giant monster did attack NYC, it's just not very entertaining, at least in my opinion. :/ |
My parents don't want me to see Juno. They don't like the message of a pregnant teenage girl. I was trying to look up reviews, and this one twelve year old reviwer gave away the WHOLE story. SO now I dont wanna see it, but I do. >.<

*to Zombly* I've heard good and bad reports about that movie. So far I'll just wait for video if I must see it but I still want to see I Am Legend. ><; Thing is I don't have the money to spare for a $9 movie ticket and usually I'm too busy during the day to catch a matinee. ><; But I think the safe bet will always be to wait for the video release because unless it's one of those movies that you have to see in theaters *Star Wars (explained by raving uncles), 300, etc* there's no point. ><; Yeah, you gotta wait longer but that money can be better spent on gas or something.
*to xnarnian* Yeah...the concept isn't that great and it's not worth seeing in theaters but I bet it's interesting at least. |
