Slightly Strange, but Still Good Films, Anyone?

Has anyone here ever found a movie that they
thought was quite strange, but while they did
find it to be good on the other hand. A few of
the movies I find that are in this catagory
would have to be: Donnie Darko, Tideland,
Mirror Mask, Purfume, Freakshow, Requium for
a Dream, and Momento.

Truthfully I really would love for anyone to
suggest any other movies that could fall into
this catagory, or possibly even discuss the
movies I have mentioned above, about why they
are considered a bit odd or weird and why we
like them anyways. :]

I didn't think Perfume was good. D:

Anyways, hmm.. Les Triplettes de Belleville! One of the funniest animated movies ever, the whole Tour-de-France thing was priceless. :3

Tilly is that one in French, mayhaps?
If so I doubt I would appreciate it as much. D;

I think you're dead on with Mirror Mask. I bought that movie some time last year and watched it with a bunch of friends. Pretty much the whole time our heads were tilted and a little confused as to how we felt about it. The visuals were amazing while the story made us felt like we were being left out from something else. XD Afterwards we couldn't decide whether we liked it or not but over time it really grew on me so it's one of my favorites. ^ ^

Perfume 'story of a murderer'? I loved that! Yeah I thought it was odd, but that made me love it even more. I'd love to read the book, too.
I bought a couple of dvd's cheap (that I'd never heard of)
some crappy early adult-hood or teen Drew Barrymore flick called 'The Amy Fischer Story' some lame film about a high school student who gets jealous of her teachers wfie so kills her...terrible
And
Willard, about a man who is completely left-of-centre, who befriends thousands of rats, which he used for revenge, really odd, at the same time possibly good if it had more money put into the film. Kinda funny just cos it was so bad.

It is, it's Quebecois, but they don't speak much in it at all, the voices are just like 'Hmm!', 'Ahh!', 'Hohoho!'

Pan's Labrinyth, I had no idea what is was about or anything. I just grabbed it off the movie shelves and I took it home. A little freaky and weird at times, but Man it was such a good movie.

I totally agree, that movie was pretty great.
@Cherry Willard was quite odd. I really do agree,
if they had just tried a little harder they really
could have had a great movie.
