Interview with a Vampire
What a great movie!! I really enjoyed watching it. It's just one of those movies people rave about and say it's brilliant and you don't believe them and think its all hype but when you actually come to watch after stalling for all theses years. WOW! All the emotions running through it really give you a strong sense of how good it is to be alive. I don't want to give any of it away for those who haven't watched it. AND! Usually I wouldn't like Tom Cruise or Bradd Pitt but they just looked so tasty in this!! And Kirsten Dunst really is and still is a good little actress. I just wish she could have starred in something better than Spider Man her talent is wasted on it!
Does anyone else really like this movie and the way it ties in past from present in ways you just wouldn't expect. I also think it sort of comes across as being a sort of bisexual bi curious love story anyway...er vampcurious.. comments please  :) |
I loved that movie. how ever i found the book much more entertaining. More detail more stuff happening. I loved how great f a job the movie did to portray the book though. I swear it was closest to the book than any movie based off o book has ever been.
|
really how ignorant of moi! I really didn't know there was a book, I shall definatly have to look into buying that. Well it's like IT by Stephen king (or any movie made from a stephen king book) thats probably the worst book to film movie made as even though it's scary looses the plot by miles!! lol
|
this one was actually pretty close. But yeah the books were written by Anne Rice. Its a part of a series Queen of the damned was book three of it i believe. and Interview with a vampire im pretty sure was book 1. Isnt entirly sure its been some time since ive read them.
|
Do you find that when you read a book that in a year or so you find it hard to remember much of the detail in them. With his Dark Materials even though I loved the books when I read them I couldn't explain it to you now. But then again maybe that just sets the precedent for a bad book if you can't remember it can't have been very good and a little generic. That probably doesn't make any sense!!

i find ithard mainly becuase of how much i read... i can remembe which ones i liked and basic plotness generally though. Like i loed harry poter but i only remember the plot right now. My memory isnt what we would could the best.. unless its stuff important and pertaining with my life

The movie was excellent. I saw it a long time ago and I watch it about once a year. I read the book afterward. Claudia was my favorite character besides lastat. but then again I love lestats movie too. were he first becomes a vampire. I in fact love all her books.
|

yeah just watched the trailer and it looks a little pants and like the IMDB.com description says made for the MTV generation... looks a little cack, but mabey worth watching drunk (23 yrs old btw) so yes LEgally drink... :D
|
ill try watching it drunk. im 21 going to be 22 in Sept Whoop
|
thats alright then GO! getting drunk!!! woot. Ya know the funniest movie to watch when drunk is Rocky, and then followed by the blues brothers, I only drink like once in a blue moon so it's extra special when I do.

I really liked Interview with the Vampire. It came out when I was rather young. (I am also 23) I have read several of the books. It starts with Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned, The Tale of the Body Thief. That is a good place to start. After that, there are several books that branch off in different directions and dealing with different vampires.
My favorite thing about Interview with the Vampire was Claudia. She was amazing, both in the book and in the movie, but in the movie... Wow. I think that Queen of the Damned was a very pretty movie. It didn't follow the book at all, but it was really nice to look at. As far as the homoerotic content, the books were written in a very seductive, very romantic way with underlying erotic tones. |
that it was maebkitty.
and cluadia was amazing in the film your absolutly correct. Rocky + drunk = funny got it |
I liked Interview with the Vampire as a movie, but the book was a lot better. It was a really long book and so a lot of it had to be cut out for sake of time. If you've not read it, I strongly suggest you do because it was definitely worth the time and since you've already seen the movie, reading the book won't ruin it like it did for those of us who read first and were disappointed at how much was cut for the movie.

I really liked the movie "Interview with the Vampire" though I much prefer the book as it has much more detail and whatnot. So if you have time read the book.
I saw the mention of "Queen of the Damned", I haven't read that book yet but from what I've heard is that the movie is nowhere close to the book and they took liberties. |
Oh my gosh! I have to admit I'm simply addicted to Vampires... but no other vampire movie had satisfied me quite so much as this movie!
And I'm not crazy over Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise... but both of them were AMAZING in this movie. Perfect! And Kristen was absolutely the part! I still don't own it but I'm always reminding people when my birthday is around about getting me this movie. It really is one of those "You don't wanna believe it but it is AMAZING" movies. |
