I bought it on DVD, this sci-fi mini-series "Tin Man". I enjoyed it, part retelling, part reimagining, part sequel... it was an amazingly good watch for a 20 dollar investment. If anyone gets a chance to see this you definately should.

*Likies the Tin Man*
I liked it too, there were even parts where I forgot this was a SciFi original and that seventy five to one hundred percent of the set was made with a computer. Then, of course, the background would look a bit too strange or some annoyingly fake-looking creature would jump out in an annoyingly fake-looking way and bite Cain's leg. I am glad there were actors I actually knew in it though. Also, Tin Man sparked a little obsession with Alan Cumming(yeah, I know) for me.
Hey, one of the main characters' actor's last name is the same as I do

BEWARE, SPOILERS BELOW!!! [Look away!]
I think it was odd in the sense that they left a lot of questions up in the air. I was like, "So you're telling me that Dorothy not only went back to Oz...but that she stayed there, became Queen AND used real magic?"
And the villain...Wtf? I guess I enjoyed it because it seemed like someone had written a fanfic and brought it to life. But I mean...you kinda guessed already, the girl's name was DG. You think about Oz...you think about the girl...you know already that it's Dorothy Gale.
So I guess what I hated was that some points seemed REALLY predictable, and others were so vague that they made my head hurt.
I was like "Ooooww! Pain in the cranium, with the hurting and the Oi!" >.<
Overall...I guess I liked it. The sidekick characters were pretty amusing, and pretty soon she had her own Wizard of Oz entourage goin' on, complete with a badass, cowboyish character instead of a heavy tin guy that was all emo from having no heart.

I loved that mini series. I wish I had a copy of it, I'd love to watch it again, my older half brother watched it an he hated it, and the critics didn't say many nice things about it either. But man, I loved it. ^^
DG was so awesome, and I like that they called her DG, not Dorthy. n__n It was cute.
I loved it's whole story, it is so much more...I dunno, more awesome than the "Wizard of Oz" movie and such. x3

Well tasmia i was alittle confused myself so i went and did some digging in my favorite place in the world (wikipedia) and as it turns out if you look at the books rather than the one or two movies that were put out dorothy did wind up going back to oz with her aunt and uncle at some point. But the history of the land was abit muddled because the author didnt put as much into back story and continuity as modern authors do. So its all really up in the air but taking it just as a movie all by itself it really is a nice piece of work.

I saw the first few bits of it but I ended up forgetting and missing the rest ;_; I really want to see the rest of it. I loved what I'd seen so far and it looked really promising.

I loved it. I enjoyed how they recreated the characters but still kept them familiar. I also enjoyed that it was more a sequel type of story then a retelling of the original.
