Haha, just listening to Pandora talk for 20+ minutes a week would kill me. But then again Effy doesn't go to the same school as Pandora anymore remember. She walked out.

lawlz. Pandora. I couldn't help but hope she would overdose or something in the episode with her. Even I'm not that annoying. But yes, the last episode made me all teary. I'm a total wuss. The thing with the casket was hilarious though. I really hope someone does that for me. I'm also a little unhappy with the Sid/Cassy ending. But, maybe with Cassy's lucky coin she might run into him? I'm still wondering how the hell they're both going to get home. Actually, I was pretty happy with all the endings. The Maxxie-James-Anwar thing was nice (so very glad he didn't go with Sketch) and realistically, Jal is probably best of not keeping the kid. I dunno, maybe I'm just one of those people who's seen to many under 20 year old mothers. Michelle reminds me of to many people I know IRL. I was never really fond of her. I was kinda sad there was no Posh Kenneth. I liked Posh Kenneth xD |

And I understand for Jal. She would have been a good mother though I think. She just wasn't ready, and it was something she had to do. Her speech at the end was just.. omg <333 And with the coffin, I was laughing hysterically. Who was Kenneth? DX |
I'd say she's working illegally. Passports don't count as a work visa, so if she's just said she's going for a holiday, she probably wouldn't be allowed to work. She's probably getting cash-in-hand and all that jazz. She would have been an interesting mother~ Imagine having her brothers for uncles thought? ohmy. Her speech was soooo very nice. I swear I was expecting everyone to yell 'Fuckit' at the end. uuh. Kenneth is the guy who ended up DJ'ing at the end of Anwar's party in first series. The one who always gets carried away and rambles in 'gangsta'...or whatever it's called. |
Oh that one black guy who was just all up in his own world! Yeah, he has issues. I couldn't watch a series with just him in it or having him be a main character. He's gun for a comic relief sort of thing, but never as a super main character. I always thought he should have been part of Jal's brother's group haha.
I think Jal would have been a good mother. I mean, she's really understanding, and I feel that she'd be more than capable of it - teenage parenting usually doesn't work out because they're so young that they never put any thought into raising the child properly and I feel Jal was more responsible than to just not take care of the child. And I think that she would have had the support of her family (over time) and her friends to help her take care of the baby. It would have worked out somehow, so I'm a little sad that that part of the storyline wasn't carried out longer. Her speech was motivating - I wish Chris' dad would have thought to just let them down there to take part in the funeral procession, but really it wouldn't be the same. I think seeing them all on the hill as this large group of friends honoring Chris was truly the best way to end it all, and then her speech was the icing on the cake. It was very fitting of Chris' personality. It never crossed my mind to think of them all saying "fuck it" at the end of her speech though. I kind of assumed she (Cass) was working illegally. I mean, not that there's anything wrong with it just because it's a television show and its not really "real" or anything you know, its just that there's no way she could have gotten a visa that fast. I don't know how things work in New York, but anyone can do anything there, citizen or not. |
Looks pretty interesting, even if I'm afraid it plays too much on stereotypes...

Maxxie :D

You guys, they're bringing Skins to the US! I'm excited : D

Yea it's on here at the moment.. I think the second series.
Love what I have seen so far. <3 |
Skins is possibly the best youth-based drama I've ever seen, and this is from someone who worked at a video store for 4 years.
Although I'd like to know what everyone's issue with Tony is. He's likely the most entertaining character. |
I do like skins.. ^^ the show is a bit different from the normal drama shows you see.. :P
and no way, they can't change the cast! that would ruin it! |
I have seen some episodes and I didn't like it. it isn't my style
|
Has anyone been watching the new season? What are your thoughts?
|
My mum has been recording it as it comes on each week, as she got a tad hooked when I dipped in and out of it when the first two series were playing on telly.
It's actually pretty good fun, surprisingly, watching it with her, as she finds some of it shocking or ah, worrying and the lark occasionally, but otherwise seems to enjoy it and we can talk and laugh about it together. It provokes some interesting discussions occasionally, too. I think we're a couple of episodes behind currently, but it's somewhat interesting so far, in my opinion. Not so much as I found the first few episodes of the first series, but enough to keep me watching it occasionally at least. Could be because I'm finding a few of the characters rather irritating, but eh, at the end of the day I can always choose to not watch it if don't want to. |
I have heard of this show, but I have never actually seen it. from What I have heard it is pretty good.
