Journey to the Center of the Earth

A world within our own to be discovered by Trever Anderson (Brendan Fraser), his nephew Sean (Josh Hutcherson) and his tour guide Hannah (Anita Breim) comes to theater July 11.

Does anyone want to see it? For what reasons? Actors? Interesting storyline? Because of the novel it's based on by the author Jules Verne?

For me it's a bit of both, I like Brendan Fraser as I think he's a great actor :)
I've got an advanced screening pass so I'll be seeing it on July 3rd. :) The place is going to be so packed.. but it'd be worth it! xD

Does anyone else think this will be interesting?

I actually loved this book as a kid, but I remember nothing from it. xD
Maybe I should watch the movie, see if it reminds me of what I read.

I'll probably see this since I always take my 9 year old to any show that is appropriate for kids. Looking forward to reading some reviews on it. :)

I just went to see it yesterday as the July 3rd preview fell through.

I must say though!! It is amazing, the effects are great and there's also comedy mixed in. Can't say it's a true learning experience but it's very amazing. There was though only very few memorable scenes that wasn't shown on the commercials, which is a bit of a disappointment.

My only regret however is that I didn't see it in the Imax showing. It would be so great to see it large screen and 3D. That would be an amazing experience... I might just watch it again to do so. That's questionable however.

I recommend everyone who'd interested to see it!!

By the way the movie ended though... I can assure you there may be a second!

I saw the movie too. It was amazing!! I wish it was 3D over here though. Sucks it wasn't..and I also agree. 3D in an iMax theater with this movie would be extremely stunning!

When I went to see it, I didn't even realize it was supposed to be in 3D and almost didn't take the glasses. That would have sucked.
The use of 3D in it was pretty interesting and effective. At times it was also extremely disgusting.
I thought it was pretty good, but I think to read it would be better.

Ah, I didn't see the 3D viewing of it.. I don't think it'll be here yet for a while. :(
I so want to see it 3D though..

-pokes Tre- His name is Brendan Fraser. :poke: xD
It's fantastic though, when it's available you should see it.

I loved it!
it was great. I never read the book, but now I think maybe I should...
Josh Hutcherson was great, but Brendan Fraser..... mmm. now that's a nice 3D image XD

I enjoyed that movie, especially at that one part (sorry, spoiler; not really though, because it comes in the movie commercial) where they're falling down the hole, and suddenly they stop screaming, and Brendan Fraser is like, "We're still falling!" and they start screaming again. It was an amusing movie, and I loved the special effects. ^ _ ^ Especially that cute little bird that always followed Sean around. :XD
