Degrassi: The Next Generation
Does anybody else watch Degrassi: The Next Generation? I have to say, that is my absolute favourite show and has been since season 1! When I was little I watched the older shows, but TNG is galaxies better. My favourite characters are Darcy, Ellie and Paige.
I'm really disappointed that they finally gave Darcy some depth, and now Shanae is off to 90210. So those who are fans of the show, or those who are looking forward to 90210, discuss it here! :sweat: |
OMG I love degrassi :) I remember watching it since 2nd grade when season one first aired. And yeah Darcy is one of my favorites too. I like spinner too :). My favorite episode is probably the shooting because it was like ":shock:".
AND shenae is also in the abc family origional movie picture this with lauren collins :) I think thats on sunday night so I'm excited to watch them in different roles. |

It's pretty cute, I was watching random episodes online but I'm probably going to rent them in order when I get around to it. I really like Paige and Marco. |
Takabean - The episodes have changed so much since way back when right? They've grown so much from epic period bleeding in class and penis pumps to suicide attempts and AIDs?! As well as Ellie totally following in her moms footsteps. Craig on coke, JT getting stabbed? You've definitely got to love that show.
Ignis - What do you mean about giving out new episodes. New episodes as in 7th season that just ended, or new into the 8th? Butterscotch - Paige and Marco ARE really cute. There are some seasons that definitely stand out though, make sure you get to seasons 3 & 4, as well as 6 & 7. To me those are the most "go-there" seasons. |
Yeah ive been bugging butterscotch to watch all the really intense episodes :lol: I still have to show her the shooting one though!
Yeah the new episodes definetely have more drama then some of the earlier seasons. |
Oh my word do they ever. Starting off the season with Darcy getting raped and trying to kill herself? Slow down slugger, you just started the season! I'm really anxious about the new season.
I absolutely cannot stand the new characters they're bringing in as mains now. They all need to just get lost. Except Jane. |
lolol yeah really. im excited too, but if this group graduates then the high school part is pretty much over? So that might mean the show will end soon :cry:
Oh you mean the people from Lakehurst? yeah I dont like them too much either :( they just took more lines from other characters. Jane's cool though, i like her and spinner together. |
I loove Degrassi! I don't get the channel in my room though. So if I'm watching it its either in my mom's room or the living room. >_>
Takabean; There's a new season coming up soon (its 8th season i think), so I don't think that Degrassi is ending soon. ;D |
cell: yeah i know thats what i was talking about. in season eight emma and manny's grade is graduating, so once they leave the high school who else will the show be about :(

I enjoy the show, but it didn't really come on the air until I was in high school (grade 10 or 11 I think). It was nice to see Degrassi back on the air after all those years and I loved that it followed Emma, bringing back members of the old cast and tieing the series together.
I remember watching the original series when I was really little. It's interesting to see how some of the issues haven't really changed for teens, while there are more updated stories and issues. |
I LOVE Degrassi XD I have missed the past 2 seasons tho. I think lol. i sorta stopped watching it after they killed JT off *cries* I miss him. My favorite characters are Jimmy, Ellie, and Emma. I use to dislike Emma, but she sorta grew on me lol. Oh yea, i also LOVED Chris. But he disappeared. lol. |

i used to really dislike it.. even though i never watched it, i thought it looked like a very boring show >.< i wonder what happened to JT though! x____x i didn't watch soo many seasons.. so when i heard someone say he died, i was really surprised! Dx and i also seen commercials for Darcy being on 90210! O: i don't know if i'm excited for that show.. maybe? >.< |

I LOVE THIS SHOW! the episodes are so weird now but I can't pull myself away. My favorite character is Ellie... she's awesome =) but yeah this show is so different than anything else on TV. I love it! |
I really like Degrassi: The Next Generation. I even got one of my friends into watching it. However, I haven't watched it religiously since JT was killed. Spinner and Jimmy are my favorites. Emma used to be my favorite before the whole anorexia thing. I was surprised to see Sean in the military on one of the newer episodes I caught. When did he decide that, when he was in jail for the car accident while racing Peter? I'm glad Manny's over her slutty phase. I should really try to catch up on all the episodes. And even though I haven't really seen many episodes of the original Degrassi, I think it's really neat how they brought back characters from it into the new show's storyline.

I've only seen Degrassi: The Next Generation, on Mondays, but maybe i'll see it on the internet after i'm finish seeing 8 simpled rules. :3
