@hummy - oh my goodness! That is highway robbery! =O I don't even understand how he could come up with that amount. o.O I could rent a car for two days at least with that kind of money. I have always hated taxis. I realize they serve a purpose, but I just can't understand how they can charge that kind of money for such a small amount of time. Have you ever considered getting AAA or some other roadside assistance membership? I don't know if they are in your area, but even though it's like $40 a year. If you use it once, it already paid for itself. One time, when I was growing up, my mom used all four of her allowances that year. I don't know what we would have done if we had to pay it out of pocket. =O
