I'm so sick of Gaia's money mongering.
I thought when I saw "shop update" it'd be the GG shops.
I was SO DISAPPOINT when I saw it was cash shop.

@Echo: There is pleanty to do on gaia alone... So many different ways you can interact with people. I'm not taking away from either, but i do prefer these events to Gaia's, i do agree on that one.

@Amani: Ah, when you finish it up I want to see what you've done, feel free to pm it to me if you want^^... I'm adding you just for that alone,

@Kisaki: Yep, they really hype the cash shop. I used to invest a few things in the cash shop that i thought were cool, but the constant annoyance of them continually putting it out on the announcements was getting annoying. You could probably exhaust an entire month's paycheck and more on all the crap Gaia has released in the cash shop. But I don't go there for the cash shop, maybe the occasional monthly item, but nothing crazy.

Yeah. I just go check MC's now.

@Kisaki: You have to look for people you like though. Sometimes its challenging but i have a pretty good amount of cool people I met on there. But I also have a good amount of cool people I met here as well.

MC's I don't count as a CS item, even though it's listed there.
Even Menewsha does those.
I don't get anything else. ;\
It's like a scam.
The only remotely awesome items they make now are for that.
Even the MCs are skimped on for them. :/

I know! I went there about the time the events started here to check my vends and there were two announcements. One for, I can't remember, but it was nothing interesting, and the other was a cash shop update. I said "I knew it!"
There are a lot of ways, but you also run into a lot of spam and childishness-wait, what am I saying-TONS of it. I admit, before the event, Menewsha did move rather slow for my tastes, but then I also wasn't jumping in near as much myself. This event has really got me active with posting. Granted much of it is small talk, but the more I post, the more comfortable I get. Also, my posting style alone tends to keep me off most forums. Most times, when it's a thought provoking subject that I finally want to respond to, my posts can be, well, very long, and that isn't well taken in most places. Sure, maybe people aren't reading them here either, but at least I'm not made to feel bad by seeing TL;DR, or having tons of comments about my walls of text.

The only thing I miss not having here is a marketplace like Gaia's, where you can just go looking for what you want and a list of it shows up and you make your buy, or being able to just list it for others in the same manner.
Yes, there are still some of us here!

You can create some cool avatars with just the stuff you buy with your gold, and some people just sell the MC's off for gold, so a lot of people just whore the chatterbox for gold and await for the next MC to come out so they can get their hands on it without paying for it. Same way with the Cash Shop, eventually someone will be selling it for actual gold.

@Echo: I don't know... I still like Gaia and Menewsha in their own ways. Menewsha is more friendly... Gaia is more active. So they are both good in my book. I hate childishness and spam... and I got that a lot... I even had an rp stalker who kept asking to cyber o.o... But i lost them a while ago.. XD... And now I'm back... I just have a lot of good friends I met off of gaia, I have to say tis rather worth the spam and idiocy.

I'm not a fan of Gaia anymore.
It just doesn't compare as well, for me.
To each their own. ^_^

@Jessi: I used to do that o.o... I bought evolving items and just sold them off and got a lot of cool items in the process. But now i just post for the items I want... I got a cool avatar anyway... i don't plan changing it anytime soon. I'll hold you to that... no more cash shop, period XD

In general: I haven't been on Gaia in FOREVER. You all have summed it all up better than I could. Cash shop = *shudder*

Wish I could get back all the money I spent on MCs before I started disliking the place so much though.

And ugh, the community...don't even get me started. o__e;;

Yeah... the community does suck a bit.... I just try and focus myself to the literates.... Most of them aren't asses.... usually the ones that are i ignore after the first few weeks o.o.

Yeah, the thread does tend to die at night, my time. Especially the past few days...it was most active the first few days, but it seems a lot of people are suffering from event burnout. :sweat:

Lucky for me I can laugh at myself. Also lucky for me I enjoy getting dirty. I'd die if I didn't - it happens too damn often. I'm just that prone to accidents of the comical kind. XD
