Your not the only one. my favorite character was Louis.. 'sigh' though im not sure which i like more the novels, or the movie. in the novels Lestat's the one that got Claudia roasted in the movie well that was Armand.

xdark_secretsx 08-09-2009 03:11 AM

Hi there, Granny. I'm doing well, how are you?

Connielass 08-09-2009 03:12 AM

::abducts Killiandra into the Temple of Anne Bishop::

And your username...
You've read Crystal Line, correct?

Ye gods, how can you SAY the movie could be better?!
Mrs. Rice's books are FAR better than either movie!
Although there could be an argument had for Interview, because Mrs. Rice was actually on set and approved every change that was made. In her own words, she gave those various approvals because she "wanted the movie to be a departure from the novel."

Yup, surprise surprise, the video with Twilight's lead role actor bashing the books themselves was taken down due to "copyright infringement".

Buzzkill.

Killiandra 08-09-2009 03:13 AM

@ Cyndel - Yeah, Anne McCaffrey has taken over a large part of my bookshelf too. I've focused more on her Dragonriders series though.

Gothic Romantic 08-09-2009 03:13 AM

I must admite, I have never read the Twilight series. Though, my girlfriend and a few of my ex's have told me that I WILL read them.

I prefer Niel Gaimen, though.-

Hatake Ayumi 08-09-2009 03:13 AM

xD
Just shows how males are not so easily impressed with sparkly men taking over the available female market.

Vixen with a Vendetta 08-09-2009 03:15 AM

Oh I read Anne McCaffrey's series a few years ago. :B It's really good. I still have the books.
Dragon Bones is a good book, not the same author but in the same genre.

Killiandra 08-09-2009 03:15 AM

@ ConnieLass - I assume I've found another Anne Bishop fan, lol. And no I haven't actually. Is my name similiar to a characters?

xdark_secretsx 08-09-2009 03:16 AM

Grr @ copyright infringement. Major buzzkill.

Liros 08-09-2009 03:16 AM

I still don't like the series that much... I read the book Twilight, and compared it to the movie. I liked the book better (because the movie's 'sparkle effect' was awful; I pictured it far better in my mind...) but still am not crazy about the series, and doubt I will read the 2nd book. I picked it up in a time when love stories made me wanna poke my eyes out, so the fact I could read through it and not puke blood was saying something... :sarcasm:

Connielass 08-09-2009 03:18 AM

Killiandra:
Anne McCaffrey's Crystal Line trilogy has a heroine named Killashandra.

HEY! I resent that!

I was very unimpressed, myself! :stare: The could've picked a way sexier actor for the lead male.

Vixen with a Vendetta 08-09-2009 03:19 AM

Anywho I'm off to bed. Night all. Try not to have too much fun without me. ;D

Hatake Ayumi 08-09-2009 03:20 AM

Bye Vixen!!

xdark_secretsx 08-09-2009 03:21 AM

Liros, I read all four books. The first book was okay to me, the other 3 just wasted my time. :(

Cyndel 08-09-2009 03:21 AM

Killiandra: Lol I've never read those, only Acorna. ^^; That struck me as interesting. XD

Hatake: Hahaha So true. XD

Man, but I so had the urge to throw on that "I <3 boys who sparkle" shirt that my friend got me and like...hide out in walmart or something with glitter body spray and wait until I saw a cute guy then dive out and spray him to death with it. XDD
Totally just for shits and giggles. XDDD

But I didn't want to be mistaken for a lunatic fan0girl, soo.. yeah... Hahaha it jsut seemed like a funny thought. XD

A friend told me the ending... so I'm ok without reading the other four.

Killiandra 08-09-2009 03:24 AM

@ ConnieLass - Ah, Neat. I should get my hands on those and see how they are. I really think that Black Jewels will be my all-time favorite series. I'm actually planning on getting a tattoo of a qoute from them.

xdark_secretsx 08-09-2009 03:25 AM

Liros, I wanted to know the ending so I read it. It's like I read it, might as well read the rest to know how it ends. If you need the ending, you don't need to read it.

Gothic Romantic 08-09-2009 03:27 AM

Anyhow, I must be off. If you'd like to add me, please do so. I don't mind new friends. :D Talk to you all later!

Connielass 08-09-2009 03:28 AM

Ooh, which quote would that be?
And yes, Bishop's original trilogy has remained my all-time fave as well.
::makes mental note to get rid of three more books::
Tir Alainn trilogy, aka Pillars of the World et al.

It was okay for one reading, but... I really have felt no urge to go back to it, so.. I'll donate them to the library.
Woo!
More free space on my bookshelves!

Chocobo 08-09-2009 03:29 AM

Well, whats going to be in this new event?
Do I just share music lyrics because I'd love to share the lyrics of the new billy talent III album songs or do I just share lyrics of made up songs?
Do I just chat and hang out because that sounds fun too?
Will there be a winner in this event?
Do I just get automatically signed up when I join this forum because I was planning on joining song anyways.

PLEASE ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS

V I X E N 08-09-2009 03:29 AM

& now for the other Vixen to come into play hahah

Killiandra 08-09-2009 03:32 AM

ConnieLass - I'm hoping to design something around "Hell's Fire, Mother Night, and may the Darkness be merciful." I had one design in the works, but I'm thinking of starting over on it. My mom is actually a librarian, so I'm always happy when people say they're going to donate their old books.
