*dances*
Hi everyone! ^^
I am new to Menewsha and I'm totally clueless on what's going on, but this looks fun.
What does the "Perform" button mean?

True that, but I honestly couldn't tell you where mine are...and I'm just lazy at the moment. Go me.

Maka-chan 08-10-2009 03:08 AM

Gary
i hate it when it does that x_x
but people need sleep

Astrelle 08-10-2009 03:09 AM

AH! Tap shoes. *hisses* Sometimes our teacher would be like "okay! We're done with pointe, lets do tap next!" and we'd all die. Worst. Shoes. Ever.

Paint - >_< Yeah, we were never amazing or anything... so we didn't have horrible feet... but every so often someone would have to sit out of pointe because of some foot problem. It's too bad you got bored... =(

BlueSakura 08-10-2009 03:09 AM

Hi Bunny :) welcome to Menewsha ^^ (hehe im new too)
you can dance to people by clicking the perform button and you get 0.25stars per successful dance- it's for the event ^^

I've done dance for six and a half years, and the only good stories are when I was at a ballroom/swing lesson.

TammyWut 08-10-2009 03:11 AM

@Idelisa: Go lazy people! Pshht, the only reason I have mine with me is because I always have them at my desk when I'm not listening to my iPod.

@Astrelle: Now, I'm more of a track person, but I'm guessing that that's the equivalent of doing a mile-long Indian run then having to do sprints? Those were not fun practice days. But I agree, those shoes were the worst! x-x

Well, I must be heading off, it was lovely talking to you all. <3 G'night!

PaintTheSkyRed 08-10-2009 03:11 AM

I had a teacher who would yell at me for doing too well. -.- Like we had partners and you were suppose to be keep pace with your partner. She was 40 and I was 12 and she was sooo slow and messed up so I had to slow down and I would get yelled at for getting to slow and I would speed up and got yelled at for going too fast.

Idelisa 08-10-2009 03:12 AM

Nightnight Tammy!

haha the slow dances tend to be safer eh >.<

@Tammy: Nice talking to you too ^^ Goodnight :D

PaintTheSkyRed 08-10-2009 03:13 AM

I agree but too slow is just damn annoying. Like being seven paces after the beat is too slow. =/

Safer...maybe for everyone but me. Ballet, I can handle just fine, but the moment someone asks me to do a waltz (the actual waltz or a waltz in ballet), you can just forget it. Because I'm either stepping on someone's toes, someone's stepping on me, or I just cannot get the turns right.

Gary Stargazer 08-10-2009 03:16 AM

*yawns again as he droops his ears and sighs* bleh ... i need something to wake me up ...

PaintTheSkyRed 08-10-2009 03:16 AM

I loved doing the Waltz.. my favorite dance in ballet.

Maka-chan 08-10-2009 03:18 AM

I think part of the reason I sucked at it was because I sprained my chest around the time my instructor was teaching it. So, by the time we were getting ready to go across the floor practicing it, I was basically done for the class because I hurt too much.

Intergalactic Bunny 08-10-2009 03:18 AM

Oh, I dance as well!
I do ballet and jazz, also I am currently learning ballroom.
I agree, overall it's so slow! u_u *dies*
But it helps with my patience and discipline so! ^^

@Blue:
You're new too? ^^ Cool! *highfives*
And oh, okay! Thanks so much for the information.

Astrelle 08-10-2009 03:18 AM

Night Tammy!

Paint - Ugh! That's horrible. >_<

OH! I have a cute dance story. There were these 3-4 year olds (that's the youngest my teacher takes and she usually doesn't even have enough for a class) It was their first time on stage and they were all in these adorable turqoise and white tutus. The lights go on and the music starts. Two start trying to dance (while obviously looking at the instructor on the side)... the third is watching the other two dance. One's looking at the audience and the fifth is looking at a disco ball hidden at the top of the stage (it was for a later dance). SO the one looking at the disco ball pokes the one looking at the audience to show her the disco ball... and soon chain reaction all of them are looking at it and not dancing. The audience was laughing... but eventually the instructor got them to start dancing again. X3 It was way cute.

PaintTheSkyRed 08-10-2009 03:19 AM

Ah I am sorry you got hurt. :(

@Astrelle: It was aweful. -.-

Idelisa 08-10-2009 03:20 AM

Astrelle
That is aDORable! I would love to work with that age group, but at the same time, I'm not sure I've got the patience for it.

Yeah, that was a crappy week to be a music major.

Jeannesha 08-10-2009 03:22 AM

Cute story, Astrelle!

I love to watch little kids like that perform. It's usually hysterical!

I dont mean to nag dear, but i thought i would remind you. rules against posting back to back like you just did. double posts are frowned upon. Just some friendly advice, would hate to see you scolded

BlueSakura 08-10-2009 03:24 AM

@Idelissa: sounds horrifying :o but look on the bright side; slow dances may be tough to master but they are beautiful!

@Bunny: no problem ^^ I can't wait till I get enough gold to buy some clothes, i'm getting cold x.x

@Astrelle: aaaaaw sooo cute :3 I can picture that >.< I've seen the Nutcracker Ballet perform here, and the little kids are so funny and cute to watch xD
