Team Name: Sun
Task #: 8
The Chore: Okay, so it’s like this: I hate, and I mean HATE, cleaning my room. Whenever I do it, I’ll sit there for at least half an hour, fiddling with the internet, and then maybe I’ll potter around for a couple of minutes before going back to the computer (kind of like what I’m doing now); then I’ll check out a couple of blogs, and before I know it, half an hour? Poof! Two hours? Poof! The whole day? Gone, just like that. The worst part is, I have absolutely no idea what I was doing while I was procrastinating. The time just disappears. I might as well just have been kidnapped by aliens, or have met Elvis. Who knows? I certainly don’t.
Naturally, this isn’t always that great an idea. Apart from anything else, my room is now icky – not rotting food icky, it’s just that there’s stuff over the floor. Every now and again, I’ll get an actual cleaning bug and sort it out – it looks really nice when it’s sorted, but it’s just so much effort keeping it that way, and I’m not very good at it. Apart from anything else, it’s the books; I think I’ll probably die in a book-a-lanche, or something. I have so many, and they just don’To be honest, I don’t put much effort in because it just bores me, and it seems really hard, although I know I’ll feel the benefit. It’s an efficiency thing, more then anything – I just make a bit of a mountain out of a molehill.
This, of course, frustrates my parents. One day, I think they will kill me for it. If I wasn’t moving out in a couple of months, I think they would have done so already. But, je ne regret rien, yes?

Task #: 8
Chore: I never did like cleaning my room. I didn't quite see the point. As soon as someone tried to shelve my books or tame the wild papers poking from under various paperweights (including a stapler, one of my computer speakers, and a potted cactus I have named 'Dolly'), some celestial being of the messy room seemed to take offense and punish me by taking a particular paper or novel that would be of great importance in a matter of days. Or in some cases, seconds. Besides, this wasn't a hospital. It was the room of a teenage girl! It was natural for the occasional pizza box to be discovered months after dinnertime with molding slices within. So I didn't clean my room. I knew better than to question the great plot of life that somehow involved having my room in a constant state of organized chaos. Oh, I always found a loose book or two to shove back into the shelves or a pile of papers to sort. And Dolly often migrated around my desk, heading for more tamable paper on the great range known as my desk. Usually, the faraway folks in the Living Room seemed to think that I was doing something purposeful in these minor shuffles. For a good number of weeks, I was left to my own devices. But good things always come to an end. They seemed to realize that my spirit had grown wilder, freer in this untamed land. So the terrible day came. The settlers known as my parents reached this vast land of cactus (singular) and dustballs and quickly introduced the legal system. Then they threw the book at me. Quite literally, too. I think they were angry because they stumbled over the corner of a hardcover with a particularly pointy cover. (Luckily, this was not the novel they had chosen to throw at me. The book they did throw was a rather thin paper back. I am not complaining for if it was the other book, I would not be here, retelling the story to you. I would probably be on the floor, looking rather dazed.) And with civilization came loss. That was the end to the great herds of roaming paper and breathtaking forests of books. In their place were neat little farms of organized paper piles. Even Dolly settled down and after a few months of hard times, is living with the speaker. I have heard from the monitor that they are planning a wedding. I do not want to incite the wrath of Bridezilla, especially one with so many imposing spines, and have chosen not to pass more comment than a rather stunned congratulations. And me? Well. I'm grounded for having lost my math homework. (I knew it was divine punishment for destroying the fine wildlife that once roamed upon my desk.) Since I have been drafted into the wedding as the flower girl, the wedding is to be held in my room, in the northern corner, in the fine month of July.

Work Job #: 2
Job:
Quote:
|
Luna is a business that prides itself on its professionalism and strong ethics, therefore our employees must also reflect these traits among others. We strive to bring out the best in our employees, but they must have certain character traits and attitudes in order to make it in our business. A Luna employee must be flexible, able to give and receive constructive criticism in a positive manner. They must also have excellent communication and social skills as communication is key in any business, especially when dealing with the public and customers. Organizational skills are the key to success for our office staff and executives. Leadership is very important among our team leaders, scientists, executives, office managers. Without leadership skills, there is no chance for promotion to the higher jobs in our business. A team is nothing without a leader to follow. As Luna is a business that deals publicly with our customers, good hygiene and appearance is very important for all our employees, but most important for the ones working directly with customers, such as our receptionists, relaxation technicians, and spokespeople. All of our employees must exude self confidence and a positive attitude. Without a good outlook, one cannot create anything good. If you have a positive attitude and outlook on things, it will surely reflect in your work and upon yourself. A bonus to any prospective employee's resume is a college degree of any kind. Having any degree shows a valuable interest in one's own self worth, a desire to better oneself. This is a highly valued skill in Luna, and presumably many other businesses. Some degrees appeal to our business more than others. These will rank higher than a general degree during the hiring process. The following degrees are valuable to employment at our business; secretarial, office and business management, pharmaceutical, psychology, sociology, medical, therapeutic massage, and many more. We are looking for people who are self motivated and able to keep busy, even when times are slow. We don't want to constantly be watching over everyone to make sure they are doing their job. One of every employee's tasks is to make sure they are getting their work done, it is their own responsibility. It is also their responsibility to ask for help when needed. No one is expected to carry any burden on their own. Our managers need to be ready and available to help those under and above them. Our business is in helping others, therefore we need people who want to help those around them, customers and coworkers alike. We help people get a better night's sleep. Our employees need to be the most helpful and courteous people ever because being there for our customers when they need us most is what counts. It is an essential key to relaxation, knowing someone is there to help you. It may sound like we are asking a lot from our employees, but these are traits that every human being should have. If you are a good person, you can be a good employee.

Congratulations to the Sun Team! They have completed all the work jobs and have profited $500!
I will be announcing the current scores soon.
Also, the teams are welcome to hire and keep any workers as long as task 8 is completed properly. That means Job 5's obligations are met, and they wrote why they want to work for you all. At the end of Round 2, please announce those you plan on keeping for the final 2 rounds.

@Nickle4aPickle: I'll accept that. As long as the people putting the banners in their signature are not part of the original 30 players, they can qualify for the mini game.
And the Star team is at $745!
I love demotivational posters. xD Great one!

I can't take credit for the quote (I heard it a long time ago), but I figured it fit with my messy room rather well. XD
EDIT: Thank you very much Tori. :D
The 2 people that have our banner in their sig are:

~ XxRainbows (the one that's on our team now)

Task#: 2
The chore:
Dishawasher!
Note to self: Don't let the puppy sit beside you again, when you're eating. I mean seriously, don't have him in the same room! Or when you're having chicken. Or meat. Or just dinner generally. He doesn't like lemon though. Feed him that.
Oh, well back to topic: It was like, everytime I made a move with my hand, he just stared at it. I even waved it around. In circles. And squares. And up and down. And... yeah, you get the idea.
He does that everytime he thinks you have food in it. Or his ball. Or his sock-with-a-ball-in. He actually likes that one very much. Back to topic again:
It didn't help pushing him down from the bench. Did you know such a puppy can jump pretty high? He can get nearly everywhere – except the cupboards, but that's mainly because they have doors, he can't open these.
But opening doors are also very difficult, I end up smashing head first into them, because they won't go up. Most of the time, because I miss the handle. It's also very small! It's not my fault! Whoever made them must have thought that all people very precise! Well, he/she have been terrible wrong. I constantly smash against things. It hurts alot.
It didn't help pushing him down, because he just jumped up again, so we letted him sit there. Or he would jump up of our legs and he got pretty sharp claws. And teeths. He bit me in the nose once.
I'm gone for the bathroom a minute and when I come back, the puppy has pushed my plate to the ground – with half of my chicken. And I really, really like chicken. But not dirty. So I had to eat rice with sauce, luckily my grandmom, who's staying with me because my mom is in Norway, gave me some of hers.

This video is like my household HECTIC. My brother is like the instructor in the very beginning the pushing around bit. The rest of the time the instructor is like my grandparents that's right I live with my grand parents. I am like the lead singer the fact I am pushed around all the time and misunderstood. The part where they are running in the circle is like what my grand parents tell us to do crazy stuff. The part with the clothes change is like how my brother tells me to at least try to fit in at school hole other story. The part involving the hear cuts is like my grand father telling me I can not grow my hair out. The very beginning in the lyrics he says he listens to emo but fat mikes his hero the emo bit is What my brother calls me for listening to Green Day and Linkin Park and three Days Grace. Again in the beginning where the instructor slaps the guys hand who salutes him is like my brother tells me how to act. Again at the hair dresser part it is like my brother the amount of hair gel he uses is like half the amount my brother uses in one day. When the lead singer says they are living on a prayer and the other dude says something is like my brother telling me what to say all the time. Since I am in that part of the video where the guy gets pushed out of the circle that is like my brother telling me what to do and me just taking the threats that come along with it. When the instructor is in the lead singers face on the trampoline is like my brother challenging me to fight then playing chicken.
