The Chore:

CINNAMON AND CITRUS COOKIES

Dough:
9 ounces flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp powder cinnamon
3.5 ounces butter
3.5 ounces brown sugar (light)
1 sp lemon juice
1 sp orange juice
1 big egg

Sprinkle:
2 sp sugar
1/2 tsp powder cinnamon

Mix the ingredients together (sparing some of the egg white to coat the cookies) and knead the dough until it's smooth. Form a ball and put it in the fridge for at least an hour. When it's cooled, pin out the dough quite thin and cut out cookies. Put them on a baking sheet, coat with whipped white and sprinkle with sugar mixed with cinnamon. Bake in 374 F for about 15 minutes.

My favorite snack are spice cookies, especially those I bake myself. I like to make them for my friends and family to enjoy. In fact, whenever I decide to bake something, it’s for my family and friends rather than myself. I like baking, it’s relaxing and I get to make something for my loved ones. This recipe is my favorite one because it’s rather easy and doesn’t require a lot of time. Except for the waiting for the dough to cool part, of course, but that’s not a problem since I can do something else meanwhile. Besides, those cookies seem to be just right. They’re not too sweet or intense, not too soft, not too crisp. Owing to baking soda they don’t get stale for a long time – a month old cookies are just as good as fresh out of the oven. This has been proved by a friend of mine whom I once gave a couple of those cookies and about a month later he found one in his bag. Also, the amount of cookies that I get from this recipe is big enough for me to share them with all my friends. In fact, if someone wants another one, they can have it. And actually they often ask if they have another one. Those cookies seem to be my friends’ favorite kind. A friend of mine once asked me to give her the recipe because her husband liked the cookies so much and another friend told me that if he ever gets a divorce, he’s gonna marry me for my cookies. I’m not making it up, honest!

I did make my bed! Why? Because it's become a habit for me to make my bed when I wake up ever since my mom started to complain and lecture me about making my bed in the morning, before I head off to school. Nowadays; I don't even wake up in the morning but I still make my bed. I usually rearrange all of my teddies and my made bed is much neater than the picture I had taken but today I felt too lazy to rearrange and make it all neat and tidy. Plus I had a guest over and I had to rush it. After getting into the habit; I also find it much easier to work and/or sit on my bed because my blanket keeps heat very well so when I sit on my blanket, it gets hot very easily so with my blanket out of the way; it doesn't get too hot as fast and I am more comfortable. The same reason would also have to go with my pile of teddies because it becomes a hassle for me when I am working on a project or a recreational activity and I am really enjoying it when I find out that I need more room on my bed to work with. So then I would have to move my teddies out of the way but some would always find it's way back into my way and I just become upset with that. So by making my bed everyday; it saves me a lot of time later on that day! :lol:

He's a small robot-about a foot or so in height- that specialized in dust collection and maitenence, and is just pretty darn handy to have around.
