Yup, it sure was. If I'm not mistaken, the movie is even called Son Of Godzilla.

My favorites are that one, the one with Mothra, and Godzilla 2000. There was one where he was fighting like two or three others, can't remember the name it's been a while, but that's another favorite of mine.
