I was still donating to the Star Eater after the 7th item was release, because the bar was messed up for me and Ididn't know it was full. It wasn't until the next day when I looked to see what the new clue was, that I realized it'd been released the day before. LOL!
Oh well, i've nearly got a full set now, so i'm happy. But having 2 sets would have been better... or just extra wigs for next year. Hehe.

Yes. Lol.
And I'll be on late.
If I hadn't gotten some items for someone, I'd probably be halfway there. x3
And I'm not regularly petitioning the goddesses.

Mine is a verry mild lactose intolerance. It was alot worse when I was younger. Now I have to eat alot of dary to have a reaction. Then that reaction is gas. One time my friend chalenged me to a chease tasting contest. She complained the whole way home, I warned her but she insisted on the contest.

Just not regularly.

I drank milk as I grew up too. At the time, being nearly vegan would have probably been met with some empty, confused stares from me.
I do think habit has a lot to do with it. I mean why do I even need a milk subsitute?. Because I grew up accustomed to drinking milk.
If I stopped drinking milk, what would I put into my cereal, hot cocoa etc?. Of course these foods and cusines are all also part of habits.
When you think about it, traditional dairy ( cow's milk) is actually a very strange item for a person or any non bovine species to consume.
There's a t- shirt that shows a person drinking from a cow's udder..The shirt is hilarious and completely true.
No other species consumes the milk of another species and no other species consumes milk in general after weaning.
So...what does that say about our species?...That we are never weaned?.

Hahaha!! That's is hilariously true Claudia. But humans drank milk just for the sheer availability of it. In the old days, it was hard to get all the nutrients we can get from other products now. So milk just became necessary and stuck even after we learned where else to get those nourishments from.
And I just like cheese, icecream and other such products, so i'm fine with the human race not being weaned. LOL!
Cats like to drink milk too. :P
And it's not like dairy products are the only weird thing that humans consume. Look at soda... -shudders- ...and all the other things we do everyday that no other speciees does. We've learned to adapt to our surroundings. A bit too well at times.

*laughs* It's really not hard, and Kisaki chats a lot! ^_^ Past events I've normally earned 7-10 sets when I'm active. Not been chatting as much this event and pretty much only petitioning the goddess and training with Song so I only have the two. For now. *grins*
I have a friend who's lactose intolerant. When I'd stay over at her house I had to have apple juice on my Cherrios because she did *shudders* Might be why I still don't like apple juice, though I was never really a fan. The funny thing is... her mom loved cows so their whole downstairs was decorated in them. O_o
*goes to get Theron ready for bed*

@Trelweny; That's true. I sadly wasn't able to take part as much as I'd like to this event, but I used to be able to get lots of sets. Hopefully next event. :D

I'm glad I've got some more time. I'd resigned myself to not getting a full set - but I'm almost there now!
And about the milk - so true. Not to mention that no one pays attention to the fact that once you're done pasteurizing it to the standards of the FDA, it has rendered a good portion of the nutrients in the milk unusable to humans. How about that. Fresh from the cow milk is truely healthier, but as with so many things, there's a slight chance that someone will get a batch that makes them sick. It's such a small percentage, but we have to be protected from ourselves, you know. XP

Yes, that's true that we do so many unnatural things.
What I've been wondering, is come how we require such a variety to be nourished, when other species don't seem to require so much.
We require so much variety in our diets, that it's shipped from around the world.
If you take a moment to think about basic nutrition for people and then take another moment to think about where the food originates, you can see what I mean.
Other species don't import foods, they simply eat what grows in their habitats/ Simple and restrictive diets.
Though I guess no/hardly any? wildlife has issues with old age or diseases, when they get sick or old they die because there's no hospitals or nursing homes in the wild.

We have several species that we keep for dary prodution. and I hate to say that Soy milk is not a "natural" product ethire. Soy, rice and other veggie milks go through alot of production and proccesse.
And When we had puppies that needed milk we feed them goat's milk.Orphaned dogs have been known to nurce off cats that begin lactating for this reason. And I have known animals who drink milk after weining. Including some self milking goats, a real problem when they learn to do that, they can make themselves sick by raising the production demand on their bodies.

Other species don't have higher thinking and aren't capable of comprehending that other places might have better food.
All of their thoughts are instinctual.
Humans are very different from animals.
I was going to say something completely unrelated...
but I forgot what it was...
