I'm sure JRR Tolkien would be turning in his grave. He had 30-40 years of experience in studying the English language when he wrote LotR.

And LotR aren't forgotten among true literature enthusiasts. I read The Silmarillion earlier this year and although the beginning is tough, it's an amazing piece just like the others.

I really do believe that LotR will be the Shakespeare or likes in 300-400 years.

Furthermore, I don't like how people claim Stephenie Meyer is such a great author. They're mixing up their obsession with non-biased opinion. Stephenie Meyer only has a B.A. in English, basically what I have, except I could boast about studying at a more prestigious university. And yet, I don't believe that I could write a great novel at my level of education, so therefore I don't think she can.
