I haven't really been on any of the avatar sites i used to go on regularly for several months.
i finally graduated uni in june, and now i'm looking for a job, so that may have something to do with it...

Naisou 08-09-2009 11:53 PM

@Maria: ah...my mom hasn't been pushing it..thank goodness.

Maria-Minamino 08-09-2009 11:53 PM

@CaptainSavy - I still have a couple years to go in college. I hope by the time I graduate the economy is better because I want to be a chorus teacher - and in this bad economy the first job to go in schools in music and art XD so there aren't many open jobs D:

edit:

@Naisou - I had braces for 3 years. It would have sucked to mess up the work that those did because the teeth were pushing on the other teeth. I saw why my teeth had to come out - I just didn't want it done haha XD

Naisou 08-10-2009 12:02 AM

@Maria: *nod* I know I should too, I'm just stubborn, and they haven't started to hurt yet...so.

and you want to be a chorus teacher, thats cool. The chorus teacher at my high school was awesome. xD not as awesome as my band teacher though, lol. but, I be prejudice...:angel:

monstahh` 08-10-2009 12:06 AM

Everyone on this page just Wow'd me or something of the sort. xD

Maria-Minamino 08-10-2009 12:06 AM

@Naisou - the band teacher at my school was scary XD haha. But he was known throughout the country! D: People were like "HE was your BAND teacher?" I'm like uhhhh yes? But i love my chorus teacher. He's like a second father to me *goes back to visit all the time and do work for him* XD

@Monstahh - lol! yay!!

Naisou 08-10-2009 12:09 AM

@Maria: lol, my band teacher was crazy, you either loved him or wanted to punch him. xD Most people liked him though, the only ones that didn't like him were usually the slackers who didn't want to work.

@Monstahh: .....it shows you that....:oops: heh heh.....

Maria-Minamino 08-10-2009 12:12 AM

@Naisou - I love teachers like that <3 that's like my chorus teacher! If you performed to the best of your ability with heart and soul, he didn't care if you couldn't hold a note...he would give you an A in the class and his gratitude!. But if you thought you were a diva..or a slacker...or taking chorus because they thought it was an easy slack class - they were in for a big surprise! XD

sadrain 08-10-2009 12:18 AM

12 step prgram? Wut? XD

Naisou 08-10-2009 12:18 AM

@Maria: I know, I'm really gonna miss him this year, I'm going off to college...O.o He'd also randomly tell us stories and jokes too, we could distract him for whole class periods some days, when we didn't have a concert or Festival coming up anyway. xD

Clyvia 08-10-2009 12:19 AM

I'm digging this thread name.
How are all of you?

Maria-Minamino 08-10-2009 12:20 AM

@Naisou - I still go back and visit all the time :D I have to do service learning as part of my major anyway - so he doesn't mind that I do it in his classroom :D XDD

@Sadrain - haha yes! Hopefully it works! I still seem to kill threads T_T XD

edit:
@Clyvia - I'm doing well - how are you?

Naisou 08-10-2009 12:20 AM

Hello Clyvia, I am good, how about you? xD

@Maria: That's nice, I'm gonna go visit during marching band practice before school starts and try and go to some of the football games and competitions. xD

Maria-Minamino 08-10-2009 12:23 AM

@Naisou - that works! And you can go back and watch the games and the marching band shows as part of the audience now!

Lovely mushrooms you have there. ;D

sadrain 08-10-2009 12:24 AM

But... where is the 12 steps? D8 Or I don'tget something, 'cause I am sleepy and it's over 3am? D;

Maria-Minamino 08-10-2009 12:25 AM

@Sadrain - I know we were talking about it earlier but I missed quite a few pages so I just assumed they were somewhere in there XD But it's a parady of the 12step AA programs I guess XD

/still confused

Naisou 08-10-2009 12:27 AM

@Maria: yup yup. xD It will be a new experience. It should be interesting, they are doing Mama Mia this year. xD they even get a dock to put out on the field. xD

@Clyvia: That is wonderful. xD and thank you, I like my mushrooms...I just don't like eating them. xD

Clyvia 08-10-2009 12:29 AM

@nai: I like eating mushrooms as long as they don't make me sick/trip xD

Maria-Minamino 08-10-2009 12:29 AM

@Naisou - it's weird to me sitting in the audience during show choir concerts - I just want to jump up and join them XDD but it's still cool!

OMG a dock? that's awesome :D XD

@Clyvia - hmm...*doesn't know how to explain* XDD

Naisou 08-10-2009 12:31 AM

@Clyvia: haha, I don't like eating any kind of mushroom...but especially the kind that make you sick/trip. bleh xD

@Maria: yeah, it's gonna be weird being in the audience. and yes, a dock!! XD this past year we did Grease...we brought a car onto the field. it was so much fun. xD

captainsavvy 08-10-2009 12:31 AM

bands were never really a big thing in the schools i went to. maybe it's an english thing... unless you go to a music orientated school.
my secondary school had a jazz band i was part of, but it fell apart after the teacher who ran it left.
there's also a youth organisation that i was a part of that have all sorts of bands; concert, jazz, wind, brass, guitar, recorder, choirs all sorts. there are people ranging from 4-20something years old. there's also a rock school where kids can form bands and perform gigs. they've even just started an adult rock school, for all the dads and mums that want to relieve their youth XD

Maria-Minamino 08-10-2009 12:33 AM

@Captainsavvy - omg I would have died without my chorus classes D: I just love music so much - it keeps me sane XD

edit:
@Naisou - oops I missed your post XD but yay for a car! It didn't damage the field? One time my showchoir danced to working at the carwash song...we used buckets and stuff - it was fun <3 One time we had one of our guys unicycle across the stage XD lmao

captainsavvy 08-10-2009 12:37 AM

@maria - i love music too lol.
I don't think that musics plays a particularly big part in english schools, unless they are dedicated music schools. even the secondary school i went to was a Performing Arts school and they didn't care about music. it was all about the dance and drama.
then they lost the Performing Arts status, and now they're a Technology school. Go figure ¬_¬
