It's scouts canada, you start at beaver scouts at like 5 and go up from there, i'm not sure if the name for that level in girl scouts is as "canadian".

I'm not sure, My friend meg is a scout leader but I guess I'm not very inquisitive cause I've never asked her about it. I was never involved in group things as a kid

My brother joined cub scouts a year after I joined girl scouts. However, unlike me, he is not a jinx on troops.

Thulhu: No, I just killed troops like I kill threads. In a matter of 4 years, I went through 3 troops. By the end, my heart just wasn't in it anymore because the last troop I was with never really wanted to do anything. ;_;

Jeannesha: I never had a full outfit. Just the vests for the various years. Though there were dues and stuff but costs varied from troop to troop.

I really couldn't afford to try too many things when I was a kid. I had girl scouts for about 8 years, soccer for 2 years and I've been playing flute for about 11 years now. Girl scouts was pretty inexpensive for me. Soccer was incredibly expensive and my brother played when I did so that made it super expensive. Flute was only expensive because of the instrument but that was a monthly payment plan thing. And once that was paid off, all we had were band band dues/parts of the uniform.

Yes, I never got to do anything that cost money.
My brother got the piano lessons, and he got to be in the cub scouts, cuz they already had the uniform from my older brother.

I was the first girl, so I got nada.
I had female cousins who were older, so I had nice hand me down clothes, but none of them had ever been in the scouts.
