@Minuxe: I went to see the dub one in theaters last night and it was FANTASTIC! Usually I'm not fond of dub things, but this was completely different. I want to go see it again, actually. Lol.

@Lios: O, so it was a good dub? I have seen anime episodes with bad dubs so I tend to stay away from them. I get irked when the voice actors mispronounce the names of characters or Japanese words they choose not to translate.
It's great that you enjoyed it so much though! @Vixen: O I see, that's a good amount of event items! Lol events definitely make you stay up late. xD |

@Minuxe: Yeah, I watched the Death Note movies dubbed and they were laughable. D.N.Angel went the same way when dubbed, lol. Could NOT watch that. Also, I can't watch the dub of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles because of pronunciation.
With Ponyo, it was a really good dub, and in my opinion it really respected pronunciation and such. They even kept the -san in one instance, which really impressed me. It was really nice to see that they were careful about pronunciation. I wish I wasn't too poor to go see it again. |
@Lios: O I see. Did you watched the Japanese versions of those three things before you saw the dubbed ones?
Bad pronunciation really destroys the show/movie. Wow it's great to hear that they actually paid attention to pronunciation. So they kept all the Japanese suffixes or just -san? Aw well once it comes out on DVD you can always easily borrow it. |

@Minuxe- lol yeah.. mum has been getting kinda cranky with me cause i have been getting up soo late XD but its ok during the week. cause she starts work early. & i start in the arvo So i get to sleep in lol @Arikana- HOLY S**T ON A STICK!!!!!!!! Its cold enough already lol HAHAHAHA I was not expecting that coming my way. brrrrrrrr.... i may be awake now.. but now i am also very very cold.... *sniff Sniff* lol |
@Vixen: O I see, my mom also doesn't like it when I wake up late. I always get up around 9-10am anyways so she is fine with that.
Hahah it's nice that she leaves early so she never knows how late you really woke up. |
@Minuxe: I still haven't seen the sub for the Death Note Movies. I watched the sub for D.N.Angel after five minutes of the dub because of Risa's voice. >.> I still haven't watched any more of Tsubasa, simply because of time.
I'm lucky with Reborn! though. Started with the sub because it hasn't been dubbed yet, lol. |
@Minuxe- lol.. well i have been dragging myself out of bed at about....11am XD cause im normally up till bout 3am. Last night i was up till bout 4am cause my BF was over & we were talking all night. but we had to get up at like 10am cause that is when he has to leave. very lame.. but yeah.. so im running on fumes right now i guess you could say over tiered. if i stay up.. ill end up crashing pretty hard & have the best sleep lol |
@Lios: O I see, so you prefer to watch the dubbed if it is out. I always watch the subs even though a dubbed version is released already.

@Minuxe: I used to like to give dubs a chance. Now I mostly watch the subs when I do watch it. I'm trying to learn Japanese, so it's beneficial, lol. Lately, though, if it's produced by Viz then I won't watch it. Even the manga those people release drives me nuts half the time, too. They like to flip it and make it read left to right, which really screws up the art of some.

O I see. It's great you are trying to learn Japanese, how is your progress so far? I would want to go and learn Mandarin sometime since I have a relative that lives there and might let me live in their house.
So Viz screws up the anime/manga? Why would they make it read left to right, that's just not right! It's bad to change things that shouldn't be changed. |
