Good morning my friends!

rampagerose 08-15-2009 02:47 PM

Good morning GrannyJ. I get to go see my mom in the hospital today! First time seeing her in a week! Hooray! My emotions are all over the place right now. I just got a message from on of my ex's who I had to get to drive my mom to the hospital originally... he's MAD at me because I didn't call him to tell him how her operation went. As if I had the frame of mind to remember to. I assumed he'd read my Facebook messages like the rest of my family! Geez.

Anyhow, I should post lots before the event is ended for good. I just need 20 more stars and I'll be able to get one more item. Kekee.

GrannyJ 08-15-2009 02:56 PM

I'm certain you will be able to get those 20 stars.
There's still plenty of time left!

How nice you were able to see your Mom. I hope she's doing well now.

rampagerose 08-15-2009 03:00 PM

Actually I haven't seen her yet. We can't go until it's after noon. But I am just dying to see her so badly! I feel a bit bad for her though because she can't see her grandson. :( He's still too germy for her to see, since we can't make a two year old scrub up and put on caps and masks.

GrannyJ 08-15-2009 03:23 PM

I'm sorry, dear. I see now that you said "I get to go", and I read it as "I got to go". How much difference one little letter makes!

Good luck!

rampagerose 08-15-2009 03:26 PM

Oh well that's no problem! ^_^ Thanks for the good luck. My whole entire extended family has been on facebook making comments and prayers and wishing good luck for her. :)

Jezriel 08-15-2009 04:03 PM

Facebook is an amazing thing for keeping in touch with people you don't get to see. I joined recently under pressure from some ex-coworkers, and have had long lost freinds from most all stages of my life come and pounce on me. XD

GrannyJ 08-15-2009 04:19 PM

I do have a Facebook entry, however I don't use it much.
There seems to be too many of those little "games", that show up in the news lists. "Jesse loves his new plant. Give a plant to somebody?"

Jezriel 08-15-2009 04:37 PM

Yes, there is that. It was amusing the first couple of days, and I took a lot of the cute quizzes, and received lots of smiles and hugs and things - but when more than five people are constantly trying to lure you into foodfights, pillowfights, and other little games, it's overwhelming. I just started ignoring it all and simply read the latest news.

I'm known for being almost anti-social anyway, so it shouldn't be a big surprise to them that I won't play along. It would require some personal dedication to keep up with all of that and I simply have better things to do?

Fabby 08-15-2009 05:19 PM

Thankfully, since my joining of Facebook I haven't really been attacked with stupid app thingies. Apparently my friends find them annoying too.

GrannyJ 08-15-2009 05:36 PM

I find I ignore them all. I'm certain my daughter inlaw things I'm extremely antisocial, because I won't play any of those things.

Jezriel 08-15-2009 05:47 PM

Hm, last night's dinner isn't quite as nice re-heated for lunch. Noted. I'll make less next time so we don't have leftovers. Some things just turn out that way.

GrannyJ 08-15-2009 05:58 PM

We always plan our dinners so that we have plenty of leftovers.
That way you don't have to cook every day.

Skrae 08-15-2009 06:09 PM

We ususally do that as well, but I get tired of leftovers quickly..
Yay small meals!
