@Guivre: It is quite cute to have an enraged pet >.< I call him "my little ankle biter" But at first he was just kind of a tag a long and then he happened to be there when we ran into an encounter. The Dm was trying to be sly and attack him and I rolled at 20 on the opportunity attack O.O HAHA! That's when he finally let me turn him from a minion into a leveling pc >.<

I wish I could keep my group that focused! For the most part we tend to put in a movie for "Background noise" and then a particular girl in a group will end up watching the movie. I think maybe that's the problem with it being so slow is it's hard to keep people fallowing.

no, the dm gets the restrictions when it come to creativety for the game from what i hear, keeping track of things isn't that hard, you barely have to pay attention most of the time(but its funner if you do)
its just rolling fairly often that keeps you engaged in the game...
encounters for us can take really short or really long, it just depends on what we are fighting, if we are fighting a beholder and i am one of 2 characters that doesn't use magik ya the encounters going to take alot longer....^-^

@Guivre: Haha...we haven't had that problem yet, but I'm sure the players will point things out eventually. I think most of us have enough of an understanding of the principle of suspension of disbelief to not be annoying about various scientific implausibilities. Of course, when I make a mistake in my own logistics or memory, they're all over me... XP

@Bound Birdie: My Realms of Glory GM puts on atmospheric music while we RP--he has different playlists for things like peaceful situations, combat, exploration, etc. That seems to do a good job of keeping us focused.

Of course, it helps that we usually have my friend's brother and his friends in the group, and they tend to do such outlandishly hilarious things that nobody ever really gets bored.

I still have my N64 too, too bad it's not unpacked yet... >: I wanted to play through Majora's Mask again. My friend is making this awesome MM fan game in Flash, so I want to play MM to refresh my memory about it so I can help him, haha.

YAY that makes me even more Excited to play the modren game >.< He's going to give me a "Pushing" ability, where I can basically control the thoughts of others, I think that will be pretty badass >.<

But It could just be that my dm is HUGE on actually RPing rather then just fighting all the time, so I some games we barely roll cuse it's just him giving out info o.O He's a big story teller

Hehe, my SW campaign is definitely more RP than combat-based too...but that's mostly because I haven't quite figured out the combat system all the way yet and so I try to avoid it as much as possible. xD Not that the players seem to mind.

Yeah My game on Gaia is kinda like that The battle system on a post board is a little strange so we keep the battles short and simple. Thought they are indeed still very entertaining >.<

I've never tried to campaign on Gaia, the idea of trying to battle like that just seemed too unworkable. That's cool that you're able to, though.

omg!one time one of our friends came over and he had been have a rash of very bad luck(fired on birthday, house cuaght on fire, car crash)and he came over on time to watch...he cursed us!

Once, my friend's brother had to go to work, and a few hours later, he came back right when we were about to start an encounter, and he walked in the front door and the GM was just like "Welcome home, roll initiative!" and he was like "Whaa?!"

We still talk about that one. The look on his face was priceless.

It's like your regular encounter Plus battleship on the map.
It's again a slow process but It works just fine for me >.<

if you haven't had it, bubble tea is a basic drink, generally flavoured tea(really it is like tea+juice) and they put tapioca pearls in it, alot of people don't like it becuase of the texture, but i think its awesome!!!!!
