Do you guys have any particular favorite flowers? Or plants in general?
I'm not much of a botanist, but I really like orchids! They're just so pretty.
And I made a connection to a primrose plant once, but it just up and died one day. :c

I love orchids and lilies the best in terms of looks, but I think hydrangeas smell the best.

I like Martha Washingtons. I can identify them and my grandma has some in her yard and I just remember her teaching me their name. They have a distinct smell, too. I wouldn't say they smell great but they smell like... my childhood. Time at Gramma's. :)
I also like the wildflowers that grow just outside my city. Uhm Poppies, Lupins, and... hmmm I can't think of the others.
I dunno, I can appreciate flowers. Any kind really. :) And I think they brighten up places wonderfully. Gramma always said I had a green thumb.

I don't know a whole lot about flowers and am not a huge fan of them, but if I had to pick I would say lilies, especially in pink.

Hooray! Do any of you guys have a flower garden? :o
Normally we only plant veggies in the backyard, but my mom bought two rose bushes recently (one with red roses and one with the "guardian angel" rose) and I hope they come out nicely!

Sadly no, I live in an apartment in the city. My whole dream house vision would have a flower garden though. That way the flowers can live on longer than cut flowers. Plus they make a house look pretty with so many flowers around.

Ah no, no flower box. We used to keep plants but my old cat would eat them and they ended up dying so after that we stopped keeping plants. She's passed now and the current cat isn't much of a plant eater but there isn't much space currently for a flower box.
I did, many moons ago, grow sunflowers on the balcony. And I just used sunflower seeds I found in hamster food.

Ah butterflies are great. So hoping the butterfly zone at the Bronx Zoo is still going to be active and vibrant when I go next month with my friends. Butterflies flying everywhere, so many flowers, such an experience.

Oh. I hear that certain kinds of lilies are poisonous for cats, but I didn't know sunflowers could do that too... I'm sorry about your cat. :gonk:
What a coincidence! My mom just bought a few snapdragon seeds. They're on the table, and the picture on the seed pouches look pretty.
Don't butterflies go to multiple flowers? :o
I think it'll be pretty awesome and vibrant.
