I went as a pretty witch last year. :)

My witch looked more girly than most XD. Though that might have been because it was mostly cream and red. I didn't want to dress in all black for once.

Once I dressed up as Harry Potter for halloween XD. I have the dark hair and glasses, so it worked.

One year I dressed up as an old lady.

I've always wanted to dress up like a Jedi..... I've been planning it for years but never found the stuff I need :( Besides, it's kinda a wast on just a few kids that come to the door :P

:) now worries Jeanne, I did have a bunch of people ask what I was because they were not sure if I was a zombie or a pirate, plus, it was low budged, I made it in like 5 days before Halloween with cloths I had and stuff i grabbed to destroy from the salvation army..

I used to man the door when little kids came, but lately it's just been surly teenagers. That's why I don't give out candy anymore.

Kids round here are cheeky as anything, they ask for money. ¬_¬

I'd rather have candy myself XD. If I trick or treated at anyone's house, I'd be polite. I don't have it in me to be mean to anyone unless they're horrible people/

Keres that's an idea but I don't have any friends around here, they're all out of state/country. Besides, my mom is against halloween because it's based off of a holiday in Ireland that worshiped Satan.

It's just not a fun event any more.

No, I mean children who often aren't even dressed up go 'Trick or Treating' but turn their noses up at sweets and expect money.

I don't give candy to the teenagers. Or I will give them 1 piece of the crappy stuff and give the little kids the good stuff and 2 pieces to boot.

That's just... silly honestly supersition. Well, at least to me. I'm used to everyone loving Halloween, though XD.

I would say not to give the teenager's crappy candy, but I know how rude some of them can be XD.

Yup. The surly teens come with not outfits on and hold out their hands.
If they candy is small, they just sneer at you, and then go and throw eggs at your door later.

In my area the teenagers don't bother to dress up, they just show up at the door with plastic bags. No effort or nothing. Oy... eveyone is crabby in my house today.

I'd dress up if I still trick or treated XD. I love dressing up, though. If I could, I'd wear costumes in real life all the time.

there are many different 'religious thing" that revolve around halloween and I can understand this is why some poeple wont do it.

I had two friends who's mother wouldn't let them go out simply because they told there kids it was satin holiday..
