I'm not too good at math, though XD. Maybe if I make a list of all the numbers that could possibly be in each square, it would help?

You think general tips are against the rules?

That's how you're supposed to solve sudoku.
Fill each square with the possible numbers, and then going back and forth by rows and columns, winnow them out.

Yeah, that's tough doing it in MSPaint :P

Tips shouldn't be a problem, as long as you're just referring to sudoku in general rather than the specific puzzles in the contest. Anyone could just Google for a guide.

I don't like making a mess of the squares so I just do it in my head. >.<

I do it in my head until I get to the hard ones. And I'm too lazy to print it out, write on it, scan it, and then send it :P

I used Photoshop (overkill, I know) for Knerd's puzzles. Some of my sudoku books might have different puzzles in but I just like the normal kind.

I already got all my sudukos done.

I'm writing it down on Microsoft Word myself XD. I usually just kept putting numbers in until I got it right. It took forever, though. I was like in 3rd grade the last time I did one, though..

Not only do you need to do 1-9 in the rows and columns, but there are groupings of blocks together with a number on it, and the numerals in those blocks have to equal the number shown.

Like there would be 3 blocks with the number 24 on it.
That means that 7,8,9 would have to be in those blocks because they are the only 3 numbers that add up to 24.

*shudders at the sudoku convo*

I'll look it up! The hardest sudoku I've done is Super Challenger: 1-16 with vertical blocks that had to match up too. It took me a week to solve one :P

I had a book of 3d sudokus.
Those were fun.

I used to buy sudoku books that had the puzzles labelled daily and the weekends were 12x12 puzzles. I was like "But it's the weekend, can't I get easier ones?"

weird I never did the add up with. I just went bu deduction and made sure each row had 1-9 and each block had 1-9 as well.

Regular sudoku I find boring...

Regular sudoku is nice on the train if I ever can't concentrate on reading.
