Gooood afternoon everyone! Just got home from teaching!

welcome back everyone :) I'm here but then not really. I'm actually at work right now but today is a slow day so I get time to tab out and do some other fun things.

Yeah. I just got off work!

I want to be off already! :( I don't get off until 7 today. And then its homework time. You know what's weird is I work for the school.. and they will get more upset with me working on homework during down time than they would if they saw me on mene or Facebook.

That's just ridiculous! I used to tutor for the school and if my student didn't show up, I was more than welcome to do homework instead. As long as I stayed in the room, I got paid.

its just weird but it makes sense. I do feel somewhat guilty for being on here since I guess I could be making miscellaneous vector images they can use or going through the hundreds of photos stored on our server and correcting issues with them. Or reorganizing the hellish mess the old designers left behind... Really, there's always something to do..

Yeaaaaah....you have fun with that. So does this job continue through the summer for you?

yep. it continues. which is nice. I even get bumped up to 40 hours. right now because I'm a student i'm limited to 20 hours. I wish i could do more work and less school. I feel like I learn so much more at work than I do in class. Because in class my professor might say "make a cd set that includes the cd label, jewel case front and back covers, the insert with lyrics and a poster showing showing tour dates and everything is up to you aside for dimensions. But at work its make an entire package and video and web page for our 6th year anniversary that includes, banner, 3 sizes of poster, 2 videos, a brochure, a postcard, a tshirt design and some buttons. i feel like I'm benefitting much more from that especially because this entire company has to like the design. whereas in class its just me...

Yeah. It sucks that I only have four hours of my masters left. Too little to really use school as a form of payment, and too much to get jobs that require a masters.

they are! I was unemployed for a year before finding a job again >.< and this is that I have 5 associate's degrees all earned in 2 years and I'd still get no calls in for interviews from even places that were fast food or retail.

A lot of people won't even interview me because I'm "overqualified". They think I'll leave as soon as a better opportunity comes along. Granted, I will leave for vet school, but they'd have me for over a year if they hire me now! And I'm fine with minimum wage!
