Do you have snow for Christmas?

Just wondering if anyone else here does because it snowed here yesterday for me a few feet and it's still on the ground right now, so I'm definitely having a white Christmas.

KidK Mirai 12-24-2009 04:01 PM

Unless it rains tomorrow and washes it all away, I'll be having a White Christmas too. ^-^ We got 18 inches of snow last Saturday and it's been cold and cloudy enough that the vast majority of it hasn't melted! S'all pretty and sparkly out there.

Lucid Hallucinogen 12-24-2009 04:02 PM

Unfortunately there has yet to be more than a few flurries where I'm living. Though a lot of other people around me have been receiving a bit over several feet of snow. It's as if everyone around my area is blanketed while where I am is a bit lacking.
:P

At least it's not like last year where we had a huge ice storm that left us without power for several weeks.

SouLSuRv1vER 12-24-2009 04:03 PM

Yeah it has snowed a lot around here. I have already had to go plow my yard and my neighbors/grandparents yard.

Blech, that sounds terrible. The worst part about bad weather is the possibly power outages, but we've never had one that lasted more than a few days. D= What you went through sounds miserable.

Alegretto 12-24-2009 04:07 PM

Unfortunately, I have bunches of snow. I don't mind it when the roads are clear, but its been a week and its... not that clear. Bah, I say! Give me a gross grey and mud brown Christmas any year!

It was pretty hard to manage . __.;; Everything was closed, but it wouldn't have helped if they were open, it was too icy to even walk, let alone drive. I'm just thankful it all melted!

bloodstainedwings 12-24-2009 04:09 PM

so far we have about 10 cm left from the big snow storm about a week ago, but we are supposed to get another big storm tonight which is supposed to bring a fresh load of about 20 cm.

so... yes, yes i have snow for christmas, i even had snow for yule.

Do you guys have snow plows?

We do here and that definitely makes the snow go away much faster and makes it easier to leave sooner.

bloodstainedwings 12-24-2009 04:11 PM

@enchanted tiara: we do. we have to have them out every hour in a storm. or else people get hurt.

Oh, but we do. Its just we get snow infrequently enough that everyone has a panic attack because OH NO SNOW. NOT LIKE WE DON'T GET IT LIKE EVERY YEAR.

Though to be fair, we're used to getting 2-3 inches max. Last week we got hit with a 21-inch storm.

reddeadauron 12-24-2009 04:14 PM

I do have snow here for Christmas, but sadly it's melting. Luckily, It's Christmas Eve, so y'know it's gonna be there in the morning.

For some reason here, we NEVER get just 2-3 inches and I hate that. I'd like snow better if it was like that. It's always a foot or more.

The one time I tried to shovel it myself, instead of a man doing it for me, my back gave out. D= And I'm young, so that was weird.

Lilith W 12-24-2009 04:51 PM

No snow here. In fact it is raining and should be for the next two days.

purple_picklez 12-24-2009 04:55 PM

I live in Florida so no snow for me!! But I think it's supposed to rain today or tomorrow..

Cudibrium 12-24-2009 04:55 PM

We have some snow, but it hasnt snowed in a while.=3

wishie 12-24-2009 05:00 PM

There's some snow where I live. Tomorrow there's supposed to be a blizzard so I'm most likely going to have a white christmas.

amyrex2 12-24-2009 05:07 PM

I have that icky black snow from where the plows pushed it a few weeks ago, but none on the ground. I haven't had snow on the ground for Christmas in a lOOONg time. I blame my hairspray use in the early 80's. That could not have been a good idea.

RyaLee 12-24-2009 05:12 PM

it just started snowing around 8ish and hasn't stopped .. the wind was blowing so hard I almost couldn't get the door open XD well that and the ice plus an inch of snow in front of the door but at least the dog seemed to like it lol

Synthetika 12-24-2009 05:13 PM

We got alot of snow here at one point it was up to 5 feet ^_^ but it has been slowly melting down T_T its probably only 1 foot now 2 feet in some places >.< but were supposed to be getting more snow soon =D this is going to be a good winter for us here, im definently going snowboarding in january i cant wait!

~Sara Lee Cupcake~ 12-24-2009 05:16 PM

i will have a white christmas because we have about a foot of snow. i have always had a white christmas because i live in Maine. :)

MissAndroid 12-24-2009 05:32 PM

I don't I will get any snow, but it is definitely raining.

neller 12-24-2009 06:00 PM

I'm gonna have snow! And ice on top of it. >.< It's gonna be and icy, snowy Christmas, this year!

OnyxSaphire 12-24-2009 06:02 PM

We have snow on the ground thanks to a good storm a few days ago but today, as supposedly tomorrow, we're getting rain... YUCK!!!

Wicked 12-24-2009 06:06 PM

Just rain.
Past few years it hasn't snowed or rather hasn't given us very much accumulation until January.
