Holiday Movies & TV Specials
Man, I have to admit, as much as Christmas starting in October annoys me, the week leading up to Christmas eve are when I ONLY want to watch stuff relating to Christmas!
The other night I watched Scrooged , Jack Frost 1 and 2 (the horror movies) Christmas Evil and Santa's Slay. Today I am kicking back and watching TV specials, I hope I catch the Disney's Christmas Carol with Scrooge McDuck this year! And I'll have A Christmas Story on all day tomorrow. YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT, KID! What are you watching? |
I was watching Ice Age 3 with my little brother earlier today (and I watch G-force since he loves guinea pigs) Was quite funny. But I know what you mean by christmas specials on tv D: I never want to watch anything but christmas stuff during the week up to eve! Dx

You know, up until December, I rarely watch TV at all during the year. XD I really love the specials around this time of year though, even though I hate how early they actually start. October is still too early! D<
I usually go with the classics, like the original Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer, Jack Frost, Island of Misfit Toys, etc. All those ones made out of clay or w/e. I also managed to catch Nightmare Before Christmas on two days ago as well, and I absolutely love that movie more and more each time I see it. |
I haven't really been watching Christmas episodes or movies. But this week, I did not really have the choice. So I've been watching various Christmas episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, House of Payne, NCIS, Chowder, and Flapjack. Last night I did watch the Christmas special of Dog the Bounty Hunter though and a couple of nights I also caught the ending of The Nightmare Before Christmas since it was the only thing on since I got tired of watching all the World's "insert different words here" on Spike TV. And I did watch half of The Santa Clause 2. I missed the beginning. I've only ever seen the first one, never 2 or 3.

I'm watching the discovery channel. Deadliest Catch ALL DAY LONG! and tomorrow ... MythBusters!
I'm not really one for holiday specials because it just reminds me that all anyone can think of right now is the holidays. there are other things to celebrate you know..... some people have birthdays..... |
I don't really like christmas specials anymore. I think I only watched maybe the sitcom's specials, like That 70s show and all that.
I also watched Dog the Bounty Hunter's christmas special from last year, it was adorable. :D |

I rarely watch Christmas specials. But last night I watched my favorite one. 'Rudolf and the island of misfit toys'... or something like that. [pretty sad I don't even know the name.] I watch it every year. x D <3 |

I don't really watch much TV, but my parents have been watching holiday movies. My dad is watching White Christmas right now. I remember watching it last year. Every year, my dad talks about watching Holiday Affair and my mom tells him to shut up. XD

Haven't watched any holiday movies... in fact the only movie I really have watched lately was Princess and the Frog, which I saw yesterday XD

I'll be watching a christmas story for sure, and then if i happen to be watching tv and something christmasy interests me i'll put it on but i usually dont watch alot of christmas movies but i have to watch a christmas story at least once xD

I watch hallmark and abcfamily so I have a week full of holiday cheers. I have seen most of the movies they play though 5 times already XD

I always watch A Christmas Story and A Chipmunk Christmas every year. They'll both always be my favourite Christmas movies. If my family is watching a Christmas movie or Christmas special on TV of some sort, and I happen to be around, then I'll watch. But A Christmas Story and A Chipmunk Christmas are the only two that I really go out of my way to watch. xD |
lol same here I hate it when they are like always showing re-runs. lol but atleast they show my favorite movie Friday after next.

I watched Frosty the Snowman, Tom and Jerry the Christmas thing. (I forgot the name) And a lot of other disney or cartoon movies. Even though I am too old for those movies, I still love them. :)

Well I really like seeing "A Year without a Santa Claus" and "Jack Frost" But the jack frost one is very rare and you like never find it on TV D:

Got A Christmas Story running on the teevee right now. Like just about everyone else, my Christmas is not complete without a round (or three!) of it.

My favorites are Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer, that one show where the little dog tries to be a reindeer (Olive, I think?), and Santa's Slay. xDD

My family always watches the traditional ol' Rankin Bass clay specials each year. =} My fave is "The Year Without a Santa Claus." And we've got a tradition of having "A Christmas Story" on in the background pretty much all throughout Christmas day apart from dinner.
But man, I collect newer cartoony specials too. I think prob'ly the "Pinky and the Brain" and "Invader Zim" Christmas eps are my favorites. XD |
