I think my least favorite Christmas song/carol is "Don't they know it's Christmas Time At All" or whatever the heck it is. I simply hate it, probably because it was played so often. :( I'm sick of Christmas Carols now.

Hmm.... the one i hate... the most would be.. let it snow. Its annoying and I don't it doesn't even snow in California unless you go to the mountains

I dislike "Santa Baby." I really just cringe whenever it comes on...which is at least once an hour.

I'm SO sick of this. I'm in an orchestra, so we play it like every single year. I'm also in band, so we play it some more. The people sing it wherever I go. gaaaaaaaaaaaah! xD |

go tell it on the mountains, easy. it is too simple with too much repetition and no artwork to it...worse, that is all anyone sings around these parts...

I'd have to say "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" By far the most annoying Christmas song I've ever heard. It's so overdone and it's not even that good of a song. They play it all the time and its like nails on the chalkboard of my brain.

Hm...I hate "jingle bells"(-batman version that one is just fine by me), especially in Japanese, that is a song that can kill you if you screw up the pronunciation which throws rhythm off and you crash and burn. Same thing with "Deck the halls", except the lalala part, that one isn't too hard just replace the 'l's with 'r's
However after doing "Silent Night" in Japanese renewed a bit of liking for that song..then again I have a version of it that is in Gaelic. |

My most hated song of all is that song played on t.v. with all those children. Have a merry, merry Christmas and a happy new year. It's so annoying!! I don't mean to be a grinch that these kids can't sing but I mean they should be going out and getting food for themselves instead of wishing us a merry christmas!

I really do not enjoy "Santa Baby." I don't find anything sexy about Christmas. I mean, really. I don't get it.
Also, "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" is just stupid. I hate little kids, I want to punch them. XD |
I would say at the moment it would have to either be "Frosty the Snowman", it's too peppy and overly played in my opinion with an annoying jingle, "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", for the simple fact it's overdone way too much, or it would have to be "Carol of the Bells" which is just plain creepy. I can't help thinking that some stalker killer is chasing after you every time I hear the tune for it. ><

I dont like any of the christmas songs :( im slowly becoming a scrooge.... last 3 christmas's blowed and this one was the worst.... listening to those songs just irritates me....

I kind of hate all of them except for "Merry Frickin' Christmas" because the others just make me annoyed and sick of the season. Plus most of them sound horrible...

Awww, that stinks that your last three Christmas's haven't been the greatest and that this one wasn't much better. Hopefully though the next one will be better for you. :D
And hopefully by then some new Christmas songs will be put into play...Doubtful but maybe. |
Christmas songs.
I can't think of one specific song I hate more than others, but I do sometimes hear songs that start getting on my nerves. Most of them are the newer, modern Christmas songs that haven't really been around but a couple of years or maybe even were made up just this year - who knows. They're not traditional and not special. The other night the TV was on and I wasn't watching it, but they were playing some music and I didn't even really notice it until this one Christmas song was being played which I'd never heard... I don't know the name of it and couldn't even tell you the words now but just the way it sounded, it was like a slow jazz kind of thing, it reminded me of work because at my job they play this smooth jazz station all day long which I don't really care for... And now when I hear that music I think of the office and working there. And I felt all depressed after that because here I took a vacation from work to do something for Christmas and when I get back home I will have to go to work, and I feel like my vacation was one big waste because I didn't enjoy it at all. So I just wasted two weeks and then have to go back to work. So that song was upsetting because of the style and what I started thinking about.
Aside from that, there was this other song I heard this year on the radio... They kept playing it so much. I'd never heard it before this year, and it was annoying. I don't know what it is called either, but it sounded sort of country in that it was just telling some long story in the song, and the story just sounded dumb and didn't sound like it was about Christmas at all, yet all the songs being played on that radio station were supposed to be Christmas songs. It was just a very boring song and it seemed to be more about drinking and possibly New Years? I don't know. It's weird. I just know it said something about going to a liquor store and drinking in the car... Which made me think about drunk driving... o_O It seemed like it was giving a bad message or something. Aside from that I don't mind too many other songs... Sometimes I do get tired of the stuff about snow. I live in Florida so there's no white Christmas here, and I don't need to hear about it. I honestly get sick of hearing about snow every Christmas since I don't get any, even when I go out of state most of the time, including this year, it never snows very much where I go . A little bit at the most which usually melts quickly. It's a huge letdown. I haven't had a white Christmas in over ten years. So White Christmas, Winter Wonderland, etc are songs I get sick of hearing after not too long. I find it ironic that a radio station in Florida even bothers playing those songs. |
I agree with that "last Christmas "song. It bothers me. I also heard an awful, ridiculously slow version of a Christmas song....it sounds like "we wish you a merry christmas"but the lyricks are slightly different...it sounds really strange and not cheery at all! I am also not fond of "modernized" christmas carols. They dont sound good at all!

I like the older christmas songs :[ right now, my least favorite is that one about rudolph getting santa to town on time...and "all I want for christmas" songs. and "santa baby". seriously people, christmas is not about getting stuff and making money! xP all the christmas songs that people are writing recently are SO annoying! T_T they're not really about christmas at all.
So I don't like pop songs. shoot me. songs these days in general don't have much meaning though. I find a great many of them, not just for christmas, very selfish and thoughtless. |

Sleigh ride, oh my god i've heard so many times that its not even funny. Anywhere I am I hear the stupid tune and its frustrating. XD Sorry to those who love that song I just have heard it too many times. XD
