The little holiday villages that my family always set up.

I no longer really have an opinion on this subject. To each his own. However, when I was little I had a strong opinion on this subject. I never liked it when someone carefully and painstakingly opened their gift, as if the paper was something to be saved and used again. To me it was great to admire how beautifully it was wrapped (if the present did indeed deserve the admiration), but tearing into the present was definitely part of the fun. It just HAD to be done.

I love to see other families who decorate for the holidays as well. What turns my stomach is when it gets to be too much! People who have too much stuff out that you don't know what the focus is or what to look at. There are some people around here that do that and it looks tacky and cluttered.

I dislike people who take to long to open presents. Unless you you're going to save it, please speed it up. You are just going to throw it away, so what's the the point of taking a long time to unwrap it; just rip the paper for evryone elses sake. It's rude to those watching you. However, if everyone is opening presents at the same time then I really don't care. The other people are not being inconvenienced because they don't have to watch you open your presents. On a birthday however, the other people have no choice but watch you take 3 minutes to open that Barbie doll. After four presents or so it gets tiring to watch. The gift givers want to see your reaction to their gift and see what everyone else got you, not how meticulous you are.

I just hate those people who are so careful to take the paper off. Just rip it off, I say!
