What's your favorite holiday treat?
Personally I love this time of year for the food. -drool-
With all the baking, eggnog, booze, and turkey/duck/ham. It wouldn't feel the same without all that food that for me comes once a year. And it just isn't the holidays without city chicken. (Polish meat on a stick...it doesn't even have chicken in it. XD) So what's your treat that you must have so it feels like the holidays? |
Every year my family on my mom's side all gather at my grandmother's house. We have a big meal, with a turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, vegetables, and everything. However, it just wouldn't be the holidays for me without desert. <3 Every year my aunt (whom most of us actually dislike quite a bit) makes the most delicious cheesecake in the entire world. It's relatively small, but she makes an apple pie as well, so it never gets completely eaten. Because everyone knows how much I love sweets, they usually let me take home the leftover cheesecake (seeing as I don't like apple pie.) It's always so sweet and light, but it wouldn't be right to have it any other time of year. It's the best. <3

My favorite is fudge, and those Polish pinwheel cookies with the jam or poppyseed filling.

Oh this is a hard one, I like so many things! I guess my favorite would be coconut rice, it is amazing!!
I love snowball cake, but I was introduced to buttermilk pie this year and it is delicious!
I don't really have a favorite, but I have favorites. They would be chocolate cinnamon cake, gingerbread cookies, and peppermint bark. Yumm . |
Ohhh, that sounds yummy!
Frosted sugar cookies, especially when they are my great great grandmother's recipe. Yummy!
Turtles (the candy with caramel, nuts and chocolate) and ribs (we always have on Christmas Eve)
Candy Canes, I don't like peppermint... but the fact that it represents the Body and the Blood of Jesus and forms a 'J.'
&!Graham Cookies Covered in Chocolate, Sprinkled with Non-Perils... yummy! |
My family never did make or buy sweets in the holidays. All we do is chat and watch TV.
Holiday nougats, the wintergreen, cinnamon and pepermint flavors.
Candy canes are my favorite, when it comes to foods my family makes it`s mostly the same as we have for the other times we get together.

i dont think i have a favourite holiday treat =/
Holiday treats in my country are fun! I love something called sweet rice, also known as rice with coconut, and that's a dessert made with rice, sweet condensed milk, coconut milk, spices and raisins, that's very delicious! Also I love coquito ( that's a drink made from coconut milk, cinnamon, eggnog and, sometimes, rum) and marzipan. Yummy!
Spice cake with cream cheese frosting!
Wow, alot of people seem to love candy canes. I don't think I've had one yet.
My favorite treat during the holidays would have to be gingerbread cookies cause there the greatest cookies ever.
Strangely enough, there's not much I really crave during the holidays. I guess it's from almost always being poor, no real traditions were set since we never had the money to fund them.
:'D So really.. as long as there's food, I'll eat it. |
i like whatever my family makes...but we always NEED CAKE I <33 CAKE!
I'd have to say eggnog. I can't get enough of it~.
