The top screen of my DS is kind of messed up too.
It's gone all colorful, thankfully I don't need it for the game I'm currently playing.
I hope it'll fix itself.

Sev en Ester 12-31-2009 01:18 AM

You're all having so many technical issues with the DS....Maybe it's cuz I don't play it terribly often...?O.o

Rain:] 12-31-2009 01:18 AM

Yeah, it sucks really.
A couple days after Christmas last year, I was wearing my neon-orange pants with a blue shirt and the shoes I got. I was somewhere with my family and it was really fun. I sat down and my pants ripped. Right down the middle they went, and they were my favorite pair too.

Sev en Ester 12-31-2009 01:19 AM

O_O Rain, I am very sorry for you. That must have been awkward...

Novariko 12-31-2009 01:24 AM

I don't think I've every broken a present right after christmas or when I got it.

Just a random toy a got one day when I was younger, some X-Men evil lady, I broke her wings right off. I was pretty mad about it lol. I used a bunch of tape on her >.>

Sev en Ester 12-31-2009 01:27 AM

She became the evil tape mistress then? Understandable. -nods-

Novariko 12-31-2009 01:41 AM

Lol yes, I still have her too, with all the tape on her back XD

Sev en Ester 12-31-2009 01:45 AM

lol xD

Kris 12-31-2009 01:50 AM

Sorry to hear about that! I don't play video games, so that has never happened to me, but I can only imagine what I would do if something like that happened to my laptop. O___O;;

purple_picklez 12-31-2009 02:18 AM

@Rain:: Oh, I'm so sorry. I would be really mad if that happened to me. I hope you got a refund or something..

@Novariko:: That's nice. Does it bring back some good memories? lol.

@Kris:: I hope not!! That would be terrible!

Clarise 12-31-2009 02:49 AM

We got a heater for Christmas from my aunt and uncle, and it worked when they tried it at their house. When we got it home, we plugged it in, and it shorted the circuit. It's not that bad for us, but I feel bad because they spent a lot of money getting that for us.

Good luck with your game. That would make me so mad, because when I play something I get addicted and really annoyed when I can't play with it (or it doesn't work quite right).

purple_picklez 12-31-2009 03:26 AM

@Clarise:: That's terrible! I hope you're all still warm!!

And I think it's an easy fix. Nothing some super glue wouldn't solve! lol.

Le Phantastique 12-31-2009 02:23 PM

I don't think its ever happened to em after christmas or a birthday or anything. I dropped my classic Ipod a bunch of times, and once it stopped working, but I hadn't dropped it for a while, so I never found out if it was cause of the times I'd dropped it before or it just died...

purple_picklez 12-31-2009 04:05 PM

@Le Phantastique:: Does it work now?

Kokihi 12-31-2009 06:20 PM

My boyfriends classic is breaking all the time because he drops it a lot. . . .

LunarShinobi 12-31-2009 10:39 PM

My cell phone was stolen. *sigh* Sorry about your DS though. you probably cared about it a lot more than I cared about my cell phone.

purple_picklez 12-31-2009 10:42 PM

@Lunar:: Oh my gosh!! Wow. I hope you replaced/can get it replaced. And didn't you care about your phone?? Seems like that would be more important than a game..

The Enchanted Tiara 01-01-2010 12:09 AM

Nothing like that has ever happened to me luckily, but that sounds like it really sucks. Did you get the DS for Christmas?

purple_picklez 01-01-2010 01:06 AM

@The Enchanted Tiara:: No, not this Christmas. I got it.. two Christmases ago? I think so..

Xx_IwIshIwasafIsh_xX 01-01-2010 08:52 AM

My DS is almost broken....
I accidentally drop it a lot. I already goes to the point where it clicks, and if it does, the screen goes out.
I have a case, but it's too much of a hassle to use. I'm scared it's gonna break.

purple_picklez 01-01-2010 08:51 PM

@Xx_IwIshIwasafIsh_xX: Yeah. I'm not a big fan of cases either.

Alchemist of Anarchy 01-01-2010 11:54 PM

That really sucks. I don't think that it can be glued on either. But at least it still works... that's the good thing.

midnitemyst 01-02-2010 03:48 AM

If you got your DS for Christmas then you should be able to take it back and exchange it. If it is an older one then you may have to see about getting it fixed or trying to save to buy a used one.

Renee the Rabid Squirrel 01-02-2010 03:53 AM

My advice is return it now while it's within the store return policy time, that way they can't spring the 'this isn't covered', because usually there's a 15 or 30 day window for ALL products to be returned, although sometimes that's unopened products. Still, it doesn't hurt to give it a shot.

sailor star rainbow 01-02-2010 03:57 AM

Nope nothing like that ever happen to me before. but once a toilet over followed at my old rental house. it killed my first DS,a cable box,one internet box and killed my black play station 2. I was so upset at the time I wanted to hurt my land lower he never fix's any thing right.
