Who's going to miss the holidays?

I will, and I'm sure I won't be the only one. Although I don't want them to end, they're really better off enjoyed once a year. The memories and the overall essence are better, stronger in a way. Anyways, will you miss the holidays, or will you be glad that they're over? Why?

MissAndroid 01-01-2010 02:05 AM

I feel like I need to start planning next year's holidays.

Twisted Insanity 01-01-2010 02:07 AM

Really. If you think about it they come by pretty quickly, before you know it.

lillita 01-01-2010 02:22 AM

I'm going to miss them. It's nice to see the pretty lights and such out, but it will also be nice to see the greed of the season go. Every time I'm in a shop, I just see people pushing and shoving each other for items. For something that's supposed to be a season of caring and sharing, there's a lot of fighting going on.

The best part is the build up. We start getting excited when Thanksgiving comes. We start decorating, singing carols, making things, buying gifts...

Then the day actually comes and before you know it, it's all over. :(

I, for one, will always miss the holidays when they're gone. Whether it's Christmas or Valentine's Day, I always miss when the festive spirit fades and everything goes back to the way it was. Although, if they weren't so rare, they wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable, so I suppose it's something to be thankful for, too. <3 What I miss most is just how happy it makes me feel. Even if you don't know why, the holidays can give you this warm, fuzzy feeling whenever you look at the lights or the Christmas tree. Even though there's a hassle to get up and then take down, I think that feeling makes it all worth it. I have to help take down our tree tomorrow, which always makes me sad, especially since this was one of the best trees we ever had. However, I know we'll have a good one next year as well, so it isn't so bad. <3

Holidays have been rather stressful for me. In a way I do miss everything, but in a way I like my boring day to day life XD

Synthetika 01-01-2010 02:41 AM

I'll actually be happy when they're over these holidays were not that fun for me... I had to deal with heartbreak through christmas (although its mending a little because we're making it work) and now im worried I wont have any fun tonight either.... I'll just be happy when the days are regular again O_o

Alluring Siren 01-01-2010 03:18 AM

I love holidays and am always sad to see them go. All the pretty decorations. The buzz of people happily getting ready and celebrating. The time with family and people I love. They're just great! <3

Demoncat 01-01-2010 03:23 AM

I REALLY don't want my christmas break to be over so soon, but the holidays have to go sooner or later, theres a couple more hoildays coming up anyways.

TECHNOlogic ANDROID 01-01-2010 03:56 AM

I dont mind. It all right with me. But I will miss all the big rave events that came with the holidays....well ho hum :C

The Enchanted Tiara 01-01-2010 09:34 AM

I do miss them already. I haven't really gotten to enjoy them the past few years due to my age and certain circumstances and that makes me sad because another Christmas always goes by that I didn't really get to get into. D=

Total Error 01-01-2010 01:22 PM

I'm already missing the holidays :|. I've had to work during the holidays, but it was good not goin' to college and all. :B Even though i have finals next week.

Kalium 01-01-2010 01:32 PM

I am actually more concerned about my upcoming exams.

RisikaFox 01-01-2010 04:54 PM

I personally enjoy the holidays, because you get to see a lot of family you don't normally see. Then there's the sales and new stuff, and the awesome food. But at the same time, I can't wait for Spring to come. I'd really like some warmer weather, haha.

Turtle Pirate 01-01-2010 05:22 PM

Not to be mean but I can't wait for them to be over. XD
I work at a theater and it's all kinds of crazy busy like you wouldn't believe.
The lines never end and everything is a mess and then people complain for the littlest things.
I can't wait for Monday to come around. XD

neko xoxox 01-01-2010 07:40 PM

i am kind of glad there over to, they are good while they last but any longer would just be annoying!

Cadbury 01-01-2010 07:50 PM

Not me, I don't miss the winter holidays at all.
I look forward to warmer holidays...
I can't wait for grilling/bbq season...
Too much turkey and ham.

Cherish 01-01-2010 07:56 PM

I don't want them to end, either. I don't want the hubby to go back to work!!

On the other hand, the number of tourists will diminish and the schools are back, so there won't be loud-mouthed school kids showing off in the park all day anymore.
So it's not all bad.

Alchemist of Anarchy 01-01-2010 11:42 PM

I love the holidays, getting to see people you haven't see in months, being with the family, and just relaxing. But I'm kind of glad that it's all over, because the holidays can be very stressful at times.

Sally Sinema 01-02-2010 06:53 AM

I'm not, I was ready for it to be over before it started, very bah humbug this year

sjacklene 01-02-2010 06:59 AM

Sort of but not really! I will miss giving Christmas presents to everyone and actually spending time with family during the holidays, but I can't wait for the shopping to die down! We went to Walmart to do some grocery shopping yesterday and the lines were outrageous. The lines started up the isles of the store. Thank goodness we didn't have to go to Customer Service because that line was even worse. And I can't wait to for it to end because Christmas is starting to bring out the worst in people. Crazed shoppers fighting over items, pushing people into displays(I had a woman almost run me over with her buggy and it knocked me over into a thing of bluray players), people cutting line, and people just acting rude because they think they have a right or are better than you.

LunarShinobi 01-02-2010 06:59 AM

Of course I'll miss them. The holidays are a great way to relax, and I get to chill out instead of going to school. *shiver* ew, school.

Emo Teddy 01-02-2010 07:12 AM

the holidays flew by for me....im going to miss them -sigh-

Renee the Rabid Squirrel 01-02-2010 07:13 AM

Oh gosh, I'm going to miss the holidays so very very much! I have muchly enjoyed the free days of total internet philandering, and drawing without a care, and gift-giving, and new year's drinking, and snogging with my boyfriend, and eating a whole bunch of junk food, and eating delicious turkey and other fine delicacies!

Now I have to go back to school and do learning and figure out what I'm going to do with my life and probably try and eat better exercise and stuff. Bleegh. But I'm only making it sound bad. It'll actually be pretty cool. I like to learn, because I'm a bit nerd and stuff. :insane:
