Sara: I think I stopped reading the first book because nothing was happening aside from Edward sparkling and Bella nearly getting herself killed every other chapter for some reason. :p
|
I know that when I argue about things I like that other's don't like, I have to grow a thick skin.
Now, Cica can argue well, cuz she has a thick Rat skin! |

lol CICA it really gets interesting after the baseball scene in the 1st book, then again she does almost kill herself again.... but if you dont like edward get to the 2 book.... there is barely any edward and a lot of jacob
|
I found the movie hilarious, but reading books about helpless women makes me want to smash shit. Just sayin'
|
Jacob was the only tolerable character I came across in the first book, Sara. But I do hate Bella. She's such an idiot. That, or she's so thoroughly dazzled by Edward throughout the whole thing that... well, you can do the math with that interpretation.
Belly: I like my heroines to kick butt, too. :) |
Facade is hiding over in my quest thread.
|
i dont like bella either but i suffered though her in all 4 books..... totally worth it
|
Yeah, I agree... A badass heroine is practically the best part of any good book!
From what I've heard in various Twilight discussions, Bella is just that generic damsel in distress, only a teenager and pretty bland as a character. I honestly think that, if it weren't for Bella, I'd probably read the books. |
Ooh watch out Jeann, he adopted mine for some reason and it's been nonstop genital talk for days! I can't even see the floor!
Edit: OH THERE HE IS! Sssshhh!!! *stares* |
!!!
Quiet, you two! D:< Bahaha... It's all Anna's fault, I swear! :gonk: -stares back- Hoe bag. :talk2hand: |
yeah... i really dont like bella .... or kristin stewart for that matter
|
Yay, another pirate mouse! XD
I'm not sure I'd want to suffer through four books of damsel in distress for.... Well, I'm not sure what, exactly. I mean, The Hunger Games books have this amazing star-crossed romance thing going on, and the heroine is both strong and intelligent. |
LOL... This mouse was supposed to turn out to be a gypsy mouse, but I couldn't find any headwear that matched the colors AND didn't look messed up on the mouse head!
@Sara: Ugh, I hate Kristen Stewart... Ever since I saw her in Speak, I've hated her. |
Aw, I thought you a deranged french pirate sous chef mouse what travels the world in search of rare ingredients for stews..
|
i think i suffered through them with bella cuz i relate to her in someways..... especially being such and huge kluts!!!
Facade: i did like the movie and book Speak but still hate her |
A lot of girls relate to Bella, that makes me sad/enraged.
|
I just hope they don't relate to the... dependency of Bella. Being graceless one thing -- I can identify with that -- but I am not attracted to guys like Edward, who want to control you for your own good, basically.
|
Don't mice have "perkier" little noses?
|
Yeah, I'd relate more to Random Girl #64 in the ensemble cast of the movie versus relating to Bella...
Then again, I'm not female, so I suppose my opinion doesn't count! :gonk: @Belly: Woops... I almost typed 'Bella' instead of 'Belly'... LOL! And ooh! I'll be a deranged French pirate sous chef any day. 8-) |
yeah i like a guy to be sweet and protect you..... but not as much as edward.... he could have toned it down a little bit
|
Oh dear, here comes the Mice vs. Rats debate again!
|
Hello everyone!
|
We don't need no stinking protection! We be pirate mices, arr!!
|
Again, the Hunger Games books. The third of which doesn't come out 'til late summer, unfortunately, but... Honestly, the guy can be protective, as Peeta is of Katniss, without the girl being a total, well... idiot, unable to protect herself. Actually, it turns into a mutual protective thing with them. It's very well-done.
Hey, Vicky! Ehh, not necessarily, Jeanne. :) |
