I tend to get manipulative in regards to situations like that... And since I don't have a disability, I'd make something up or just melodramatize something going on in my life.
I'm evil like that.
Never do that to people close to me, but always do it to people/officials that I could care less about.

Uhh, you can't do that.
I have an emotional disability (recorded on paper by a doctor), [who says] that I should not be in a room with another person 24/7 like that and a room to myself is the best option for me and my mental health.

:B

Wicked is also very good!
As is Phantom of the Opera, The Little Mermaid (musical on broadway, WAS AMAAAAZING!!! <3 <3 Want to see again, same with Spring Awakening actually, but it left broadway and the orignal cast left and it made me sad...), ect, ect = w= <3
I live just north of NYC, so I go to the city a lot for cultural things like musicals.

Facade 01-02-2010 10:18 PM

I saw Wicked off-Broadway, here in Philadelphia... Back in 2006! :P
It was fantastic. I loved every second of it.

And then I saw Mamma Mia on Broadway a few years ago. It was great, too... I saw it about five months before the movie came out. And I LOVED the movie, too, but only because I'm a huge fan of Meryl Streep. P:
She's an amazing actress.

Cicadetta 01-02-2010 10:19 PM

Les Mis was the first musical I ever saw, I think. The second was Phantom. But I don't get to a lot of musicals, unfortunately. The latest one I saw was the local university's production of Tommy. It... wasn't very good.

Xurxo 01-02-2010 10:19 PM

Oohh I never watched Mama Mia xD I like the music n it, though xDD;;

Facade 01-02-2010 10:20 PM

I was in my school's production of Beauty and the Beast a few years ago. :)
Best. Experience. Of. My. Life.
I was a dancing spatula and a townsperson. xD;
I was a pretty badass spatula.

monstahh` 01-02-2010 10:20 PM

I saw Les Mis when I was a little girl.
Don't remember much about it.

I saw Mama Mia twice, because my mom loved it.
I personally, hated it.

I've also seen Hairspray, which was alright.

Xurxo 01-02-2010 10:21 PM

Kickass Facade xD I can't sing!! But I could do like....

...Assassins because you don't -need- a good voice for those parts.

Cicadetta 01-02-2010 10:21 PM

I was in my high school production of My Fair Lady. Well, technically, I was a pit rat. Close enough. It was fun.

Xurxo 01-02-2010 10:22 PM

I've been in dance Productions of Peter Pan and Nutcracker >.o;;

And Alice in Wonderland.

Facade 01-02-2010 10:23 PM

I can't sing either, Xurxo. :P
Nor dance all that well.
But I can act!
It was a great experience nonetheless.

I saw the local Catholic school's production of Brigadoon and Titanic ages ago. They recently did Titanic again... It's pretty much their trademark musical. :P

Kat Dakuu 01-02-2010 10:23 PM

I saw my school do Crazy 'Bout You. it was pretty good. I live in Texas so seeing plays on Broadway was a rare privilege.

my cousin was in a play called Suisical. (sp?) its a Dr. sues musical. it was done by a group of diabled people and was really really good. one of the first musicals I saw.

Xurxo 01-02-2010 10:24 PM

I actttttt, too~~

I did Much Ado about Nothing and Julius Caesar.

Plus a buncha short sketches. xD

Facade 01-02-2010 10:24 PM

Yeah, I've only been to NYC twice in my life so far. :P
One was the day after Black Friday, last year. It was so much fun!
And then, of course, I was up there to see Mamma Mia. We had front row seats, but then again it was a matinee, so no biggie, really. :B

Kat Dakuu 01-02-2010 10:25 PM

I wish I could act. I should try that eventually.

Cicadetta 01-02-2010 10:26 PM

I have never been to New York City. Tell me, am I missing anything?

Facade 01-02-2010 10:27 PM

Acting is so much fun! Sucks when you don't like the people, though. :(
I was in Rebel Without a Cause my sophomore year, and then I was in Pride and Prejudice my junior year. This year, my senior year, I got the male lead in Stage Door, but I hated the people, and so I dropped out.
But whatever, such is life.
The set for Stage Door was ugly as hell anyway. :talk2hand:

All we've done so far in my high school career is period pieces! As far as plays go. Well, we did The Wonderful Wizard of Oz my freshman year, but that's such a niche piece that it's hard to give it a proper category.

And we did Seussical the Musical last year!! It was great, I hear. I wasn't in it, since again, I hate the people. :P

Kat Dakuu 01-02-2010 10:27 PM

it was really cool Cica, but I spent most of the that trip in canada. NY has its own specialness that's very different than texas.

Uh. YES!!
I love it up there.
But then again, I'm not the suburban type. I like the fast-moving city life, and I like being surrounded by all kinds of people, every second of the day.

monstahh` 01-02-2010 10:29 PM

I was in a play of Alice in Wonderland, but it was a weird spinoff of it, I was one of the 4 queens.
Queen of Clubs, I think.

And I was in several productions of Annie, once I was. I forget her name, but she was one of the larger part orphans in one, and then a bunch of dancing characters in another. I had so many costume changes for that!
AH. And in another, I was Miss Hannigan. lol THAT was a fun part to play!

And I've been in The Little Mermaid. - Was one of Ariel's sisters.
Peter Pan - I was one of the "lost boys".
Peter Pan "2" -- I was Wendy.

And then I've been in about 12 plays about an Island called Nantucket. = w=
Like they're just plays written by local artists and stuff, but, they were a lot of fun. I miss doing them, but the older group for the camp stopped a long time ago, before I was old enough to join it. ;c And THAT always seemed like so much fun, my friend Vicky who was two years older than me (we were in the younger group together, and she was in the last set of plays for the older group) was always telling me how much fun they were. xD
I was so envious.

And then I stopped acting in 10th grade. lol
Same with dancing.

Cicadetta 01-02-2010 10:29 PM

@Facade: XD Honestly, I am prone to anxiety, so I'm not sure how well I'd do in New York. Although Chicago's a nice place to visit. I just need my alone time, too, and quiet time.

Kat Dakuu 01-02-2010 10:30 PM

I'm from the Suburbs. I liked New york, but I didn't enjoy the smells of the city.

monstahh` 01-02-2010 10:30 PM

I live in Suburbia just north of NYC.
I love the city though. Probably couldn't live there or work there however.

Xurxo 01-02-2010 10:31 PM

I LOVED New York city except the bustle irritated my eyes :D

In Peter Pan I was Michael, and in Alice I was the Door Mouse.

Cicadetta 01-02-2010 10:31 PM

I grew up rural. Lots of fresh air and quiet. Could be part of the problem.

Kat Dakuu 01-02-2010 10:33 PM

I like the rural Cica, but no people confuses me. My mom grew up on farm so I've been around that kind of area a lot.
