@Kitty: I have a general idea what I'm getting when it comes to my Mom and sister, but with the in-laws I have not a single clue. I would suspect yarn, but with them you can never be sure. Last year I got a robe and slipper set from them. I was so confused. xD

the present is square and and is a tin and it is not small.

Yeah I Was Christmas Shopping With My Parents and Of Corse we put everything in the trunk (of the car)..... then i notice that one of my presents wasn't in a proper bag and i'm all like dang i know what my present is ... the surprise is ruined (this was in my head) then we get home and we're taking stuff inside and i ask if i need to run screaming LALLALLALALA so i don't know what my gift is then they try hiding it in the corner... >.> "noo i don't see my present at all!"

and when it comes to breaking stuff when trying to figure it out.. i normally ask my dad if its fragile or not he normal tells me no which i hope is a good thing

I tried the shake it and guess approach once...and broke my present. >.< I never did it again.

ok i entered both of them. i asked one of the mods of the contest and they said i could enter both.

A small porcelain doll. One of the arms snapped off.

@Kitty: Oh nice. Are you going to enter the sleigh or card contest as well?

i have not read that one. the avatar one is the first one i have ever entered.

I think I'll go for the sleigh one and maybe the card one if I really feel like it. Although I'm not sure if I would make one out of actual card stock, and bells, and prettiness, or if I just want to draw some stuff on a piece of paper and call it a day.

but if your good with a glue gun you could have probably put it back together (if there weren't too many pieces)

i might enter the sleigh one i would have to print it out and color it.

i don't have a scanner but i do have a camera.

My Mom's scanner is really spazzy. Since she got a new computer you have to do this strange unplug then plug back in with with it, and then hunt the icon down. It's really confusing really.

wow. maybe it is time for a new scanner too.
