Yea. But there are a lot of people who are Vegan. Where I work, in the eatery, we are gluten-free certified. We also have Vegan things. We can even substitute some things to make vegan dishes. But a lot of them of extremely picky and keep a hawk's eye on whoever is making their meal just so they do it right. Then we do get the occasional vegan who will take the occasional butter or egg.
And some people are vegan because they have to watch what they eat because of an allergy. Granny, regular yogurt has dairy products in it. I don't think it would hurt, but then, I don't know much about it. But if someone has an allergy to it, then yeah, it would hurt them. Edit: My muffins are done. Something about a green muffin makes me not want to try one, but they smell good. XD Also, I will have to work to get them out because I forgot to spray the muffin pan with the non-stick stuff. XD |

no problemm. >u< TerrenaAnimula> you made muffins? *A* |
Oh, I would love some muffins right now!
|
Kazz, yep. Green Tea Muffins. It was a recipe by Emilie Autumn that I got with the Opheliac bundle I ordered a while back.
I'm currently eating one. I can't decide if I like it or not. XD Although, the more I eat it, I'm wondering if it is actually done. XD But they did stop sticking to the toothpicks. :/ |
They sound interesting.
|
granny: i think it may take me a long time to finish my socks! I've never made socks before so i'm trying to be careful in my knitting. and the needles are so tiny! i'm afraid to break them!
|
They are interesting. The most expensive ingredient is Matcha. I ended up having to order it online.

green tea muffins...they do sound interesting. |
Yes, the needles can be very small! I would rather knit the bulky socks.
What is Matcha, Terren? |
The other recipe that came with it is Earl Grey Biscuits. I want to make them too, but those I need my mom's help since I don't really understand how to make them and I've never heard of some of the ingredients.
Granny, Matcha is the Traditional Japanese Green Tea Powder. I can't knit. XD I can barely crochet though. lol |
I just don't get the vegan thing because if you cut out things like dairy and eggs as well as processed foods, you're risking calcium, iodine, B12, and vitamin D deficiencies since those are things found primarily in dairy, meats, and eggs. They can be processed into foods, but there arises another problem. Being truly vegan sounds like a major hassle as well as not really all that healthy.
I mean, I could understand it if there was a medical reason, but a lot of people seem to choose to be vegan because they seem to think it's fashionable. That's a horrible reason to make a lifestyle change that drastic. ...And I know I'm babbling. I just got onto a train of thought and had to keep going with it. Sorry. |
lol. That's okay. I actually will ramble on and on so it doesn't bother me.
I think most of the vegans will actually take vitamin supplements. Or at least more of the ones around here because I do some of them buy them among other various things in our grocery. I work at an organic grocery and eatery place. And this muffin is filling me up. I think it filled me up faster than a normal muffin that is larger. Either that or I'm still not that hungry from lunch. XD |
I don't really understand why a vegan would not eat dairy products.
It doesn't harm the animals. In fact, it is good for them. |
Hello everyone I am back hadf to fight with the computer for a bit.
|
Some of them believe they do. I know getting milk supposedly will hurt the cow (I don't think getting the milk by hand harms them though).
Then some people will eat diary products but only if they are organic. Same thing with meats. Welcome back, Rainbow. I'll have to leave in about half an hour to get ready to go to my grandparents. I don't want to go. I've had enough of going down there over the weekend. |
Hello, Star dear. Welcome back.
I have been on dairy farms. The cows come into the barns to be milked all by themselves. |
That's interesting.
I've never been to a dairy farm. |
I have been to fair were peple enter there animals in for prizes. they had a lot of stuff there you can even do sand bottel arts. but me and some frineds eat a lot of cotten candy. ((sorry for any bad spelling has no spell check on this computer.))
|
I haven't been to a county fair in a while. I can't remember which one was the last one I went to. I like watching the demolition derbys at them. Tractor pulls are kinda lame.
|
Oh, tractor pulls can be very fun - especially if you know the people driving the tractors!
Yes, I grew up on a farm, but it wasn't a dairy farm. My girlfriend's parents had the dairy farm. I was over there quite often. |
I don't know anyone who does the tractor pulls. My dad does know someone who does demolition derbys.
I grew up in the city. Well, back then it could be considered a town because there basically was nothing here. Now we have a strip mall. XD |
I'm a small-town girl. I live in what could be called a small city, but there's so little to do...ugh. It's got a population of 30,000, but there's more to do in my hometown--which has a population of only 2,000! Now, tell me there isn't something wrong there. :XP
|
lol. I don't know how many people we have anymore. But it has seriously grown from having to travel 20minutes just go to to Walmart to us having a Walmart and a Target. Plus, the books-a-million that was 20minutes away in the same city, moved down to the strip mall that Target is at. We even have a Kholes, Rack Room Shoes, Micheal's Arts and Crafts, and a third McDonald's. Which, I still don't know why we need a third one! We have one in the center of town, in Walmart, and now one near Target, although it hasn't opened yet and it is one of the nice ones too. And it is a whole lot closer to the interstate as well.
|
I have moved all my life form city's to small towns a lot. way to many to count by now but I love the city more then small towns hand down.
|
I've only moved once. And that's when I moved out of the house with my mom when my parent's split. I still live in the same city I was born in and the hospital I was born in no longer exists.
