I used to shop there once, but then they stopped carrying the Delica Beads that I use to make jewelry. Meh.

So Rei is bored.

We get 15%. That seems like a pretty average discount though.

What is Hobby Lobby?

Saturday's going to be a pain this week. Everyone's going to come in, looking for extra discounts on all of the Christmas stuff that's still left, but we're not increasing the discount until January. Everyone's going to just get pissed off over it, and they always get pissed at the cashiers even though it's not like we make that decision.

I just happened to be in the right place at the right time, Kat. I handed in my application, had my interview, and got hired all in about half an hour.

Hobby Lobby is a craft store like Michael's or A.C. Moore.

I applied, but they flat out said they would hire a teenager. I would love to go shopping there soon. I need beads.

Really? We've got a couple of high school students working at my store. One girl's only sixteen years old, so she's not even allowed to operate the box press. You're legally required to be eighteen or older to operate it even though it's simple enough for a five year old to understand. It's just because of the hydraulic press that they don't let minors operate it.

Actually, I remember that girl didn't even have her license the first few weeks she was working there. She had to call someone every night to let them know what time we'd be done cleaning up so they could come pick her up.

our Hobby Lobby hates irresponsible teens and won't even look at applications. One of my friends called over there after she got no word back on her app and that's what they said.

My mom worked at So-Fro fabrics before it got bought out by JoAnns. She had problems with the management staff. A usual problem. And she spent half her paycheck on fabric. >.>'

I like to do small projects and beading. I go to Hoby Lobby all the time for art supplies and paper and well...I just love the store. Much more than Micheal's.

Technically, I guess that would be applicable, but you'd never get anywhere without taking real legal action. The problem with doing that is that it would be really hard to find a job after doing something like that.

Yeah. You really can't win. But it's nice to imagine that people can win sometimes.
