I use a microwave for my macarroni and ramen. college life for ya.

that works too wings. I think my tv is bigger, but its slightly broken.

Wings of Writing 12-24-2009 06:49 AM

@hirako: yeah i'm leaving town christmas day so i have to record it... we have dvr. so it won't be that hard to record;

@Kat: maybe but i'm the one with the dvr.

Amane 12-24-2009 06:49 AM

I miss having cable. I had cable when I was very little and watched TV almost all day. I knew my cartoons and kid shows like nobody's business. I knew some 50s-80s shows as well.

GrannyJ 12-24-2009 06:49 AM

I certainly wish we had had microwaves when I went to college.
It would have been very nice. We had to warm things up in a popcorn popper.

Nanenna 12-24-2009 06:49 AM

Oh, Mythbusters! If I weren't going to visit my parents I'd totally watch it!

Kat Dakuu 12-24-2009 06:50 AM

really Granny? that's kinda cool. I wonder how that works...

jecynecy 12-24-2009 06:50 AM

I'm out guys. Sleep beckons and I have to work later tonight.

Talentless_Muse 12-24-2009 06:50 AM

I'm glad to find a group that likes Mythbusters too. I have a friend who absolutely hates the show, saying it's not science.

Experimentation is the basis of scientific discovery. That's how you prove whether something works or not.

GrannyJ 12-24-2009 06:50 AM

I don't think they even make those types of popcorn poppers anymore.
Everybody just uses the microwave popcorn.

Wings of Writing 12-24-2009 06:50 AM

the microwave is a lifesaver at college.... my roommate has figured out how to cook pasta in the microwave.... it takes like 13 minutes but it is possible.

Orvill makes an airpopper.

And I only use it.
Microwaveable = ick. >_>

Rest well!

I don't understand how you couldn't like a show that likes to make things explode. :/

Wings of Writing 12-24-2009 06:51 AM

@hirako: going to my aunt and uncle's house in san antonio.

@nanenna: mythubusters is amazing simply b/c of the explosions.

Kat Dakuu 12-24-2009 06:51 AM

bye Jecy.

you two would WIngs. I know you two!

I've seen an old popcorn popper. It looks weird.

KaciCake 12-24-2009 06:52 AM

Man Mythbusters is amazing! But it's our tradition to watch A Christmas Story for 24 hours until we're sick of it, so no mythbusters for my family probably. ;w;

And good night Jecy!

and yay my second mixing bowl! <3

shades_of_grey 12-24-2009 06:52 AM

Good evening everyone, I hope you all are having a great holiday season so far :vicky:

Amane 12-24-2009 06:52 AM

I've used a popcorn popper before. My dad suddenly took a liking to making things himself rather than buying it, so he had us make popcorn, lemonade, Sprite, and some other things.

GrannyJ 12-24-2009 06:52 AM

That is a very strange tradition, Kaci!

However in my family they put the Messiah tape on, and it runs all day.
I suppose that's pretty much the same sort of thing.

Wings of Writing 12-24-2009 06:53 AM

@hirako: indeed.

Nanenna 12-24-2009 06:53 AM

Good evening, Grey! Would you like a cup of hot cocoa?

Talentless_Muse 12-24-2009 06:53 AM

Yes, the expl;osions are awesome. They make me giggle every time.

IT's should be quite telling the my favorite piece of classical music is the 1812 Overture. I always become quite upset if they don't have the cannons.

hirako 12-24-2009 06:53 AM
