i was going to go to IHOP last night but my hubby fell asleep.

My M0om cooked up a feast last night. It was pretty insane. We had turkey and egg noodles with bread crumbs and creamed peas and carrots and rolls. And jello for dessert.

Yes, it's turning out to be a very quiet afternoon here, so I find I have a bit of time to post.

That's probably a good thing for the day after Christmas. I have a friend who used to throw a HUGE Boxing Day party and once, when he was out of the country, I was allowed to host it in his stead, lol. It makes for non stop holiday goodness what with New Year's coming up so fast.

And actually, I celebrate Christmas on the 7th too. But in a more sedate way.

How is everyone?

We don't celebrate boxing day here, but I think it's a very nice custom.

And my family celebrates Christmas on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Day.

My husband's family celebrates the same way.

My family was always Christmas day.

@Cricket -- that it was a quiet day. =D

@Granny -- I'm in the US, but I have eccentric friends.

My family is a bit multi cultural, so I celebrate on Christmas Eve Swedish style as per my mom's relatives, and on January 7 Bulgarian style, but it's more sedate as on the Orthodox calendar Easter is a more important holiday.

My family celebrates St. Nickolas's day in early December, and Christmas on Christmas day.

There are so many different ways to celebrate.
It's interesting to hear how other families celebrate, and how they handle the numerous family celebrations (his family, her family, the children, etc).

i tried napping but it didn't work. my stomach was extremely upset, so i took some tums so I'm hoping the pain goes away.
but i had to give up a get together with a couple of friends.
but right now i'm trying to relax with ginger ale and knitting socks.
