I've broken an ornament before; it was so beautiful too.
When I was little, I liked to play with the ornaments on the tree. Between the little nutcracker men and teddy bears, the ornaments were like a new version of Polly Pocket. There was one in particular, this glass unicorn, and I absolutely adored it. Well, I was careless one day and accidentally dropped it, snapping the limbs and majestic horn right from the glass creature. Instead of telling my mother, I hid it, hoping she would believe it fell from the tree instead of discovering the truth. |

To this day, I don't know that she remembers the ornament. I told her about ten years too late, but she might have figured. I was always playing with them, hahaha.
