The reason for it is some-what understandable though? My family grew up poor. We've never truly owned a house, we've only ever rented. So that's a few reasons why we moved too much.

When you grow up differently, you usually think and act differently. I've been jealous of people who are wealthier (when I was younger) and had more things than I did, and a nice stable home. However, I never trash talked them like a lot of people do (out of jealousy).

Besides, I guess I'm okay with my life as it is now. Growing up the way I did really set a unique path for my life.

Guys, lets make it to those 200 pages, OHKAY?!

Yeah I'm not envious of wealthy families. I work for a rather well off family and I can see for myself just how hollow their house is, not literally.

Some day I'll actually finish one of the novels I'm working on. o.o I always get distracted...

You was working on a novel during an event right? And you had someone design a cover? I liked the cover with the snake on it! Not sure which novel of yours that is though. Seems it's been a long while; and I'm surprised I remember that! :XD

Aye, I tend to do a lot of short stories. I'm working on my second novel right now, the first I've decided to put on hold for now.

Edit: Haha I'm surprised you remembered too! xD That one I'm about 130 pages into, it's still got a long way to go and I've put it on hold for my newest creation.

What is it about, val (the one you are working on now)?

I'm terribly with summaries and it sounds terribly cliche. xD Haha but it's good.

It's set in modern day Boston, told from a first person point of view of a young woman, ex-police officer, who witnesses a supernatural murder. She then gets pulled into a conflict between angels and demons.

Here's what I would put on the back page of the book, if/when I get it published.

The dial tone rung heavily in my ear.
I knew then I should have turned back. This was the point where I couldn’t return and everything was spinning horribly out of control. I should back to the way things were before, back when everything was understandable. I was comfortable, but miserable at the same time. It could be the same as it was before. Working at the diner and picking up the waitress hours. Passing the days by with routine in my compact apartment. Day in and day out. Familiarity was my only promise.
I could pretend that I would finally get over that night and even the one eight months ago. Always I had I told myself that the pain would fade in time. My loss was not extraordinary, it was common, but I could not function because of it.
Now I had lost grip of everything. What I thought were the rules and what made sense was lost. My control was slipping and I had never been more unsettled.
I haven’t felt safe.
Not even the cool melt of the gun tucked into my belt could make me feel safe. For I saw something that could not be killed by bullets.
I don’t even know what it is that I saw. It wasn’t natural and didn’t belong in this world. They moved and spoke like humans, but I knew that they weren’t. They may have been walking the streets of Boston that night, but I doubt they even descended from this world. Even in my own thoughts that sounds completely crazy, but it’s not even the worst part of it all.
They saw me.
They looked at me directly in the eye and I knew in that moment, they knew. I don’t know how, but I could tell they knew exactly what I saw and who I was.
I tried to turn my back on it all. I wanted everything to return to normal and forget that night, but I can’t. Ever since then, I’ve been watched and I think they’re getting closer to me.
Shakily, my hand held the paper, my eyes staring at the bold print numbers for a long time.
By dialing this number, it was taking that leap and normality would be dead. I would plunge head onto this, without any control. There is no turning back.
The numbers beeped slowly as I dialed them, feeling my life ticking away with them. Everything would change. My body was trembling before the digits were even complete. Somehow I didn’t drop the phone as I held it to my ear, trying to even out my ragged breaths.
It ran two times before the line picked up.
I greeted him with silence and I could see his smirk.
“You’ve kept me waiting.”
