So I ended up making an account on Craftster.
Hopefully someone will reply to one of the threads about local knitting groups. All the better if I find someone who also likes quilting!

i just woke up from a nap, I'm feeling better. but my throat is still bothering me, especially when I cough. Time to have more cough syrup!!!

Although I probably will be spending New Year's eve at home[again] I guess it's actually better I don't do anything crazy. Time for more crafting! =]

I always looked forward to holidays to start new crafting projects.

I want to start quilting, damnit!
But I'm already working on a wrap, and I've got my boyfriend's scarf to make.
:XD His request gave me the excuse to go buy more yarn, another pair of needles, and while I was at it, I got myself a knitting counter.
And I had them all sorted into my stash before Mom got home.

Quilting is one thing I have never done.

My sister is the quilter. I'm the crocheter/knitter, and my other sister does the cross stitch.

My sister owes me a quilted bag.

I crocheted a few items for her earlier this year.

i've never done quilting before. I don't think anyone in my family really quilted.

today, my mom has been sewing like crazy! she's been making vests. Although I love vests!!!

Vests are very nice, especially this time of year!

Well, we have been a bit rainy here, but it was sunny today.
It is too bad you couldn't have come "out of the cold" for awhile.

The wind was so bad today that it knocked out the power in my neighborhood all by itself. (even if it was only for five minutes. That's a powerful wind!)
